One spring morning, Mr. Arendelle came to the pigpen and saw a newborn litter of pigs. "Well would you look at that" he said in an impressed voice. He went back to house, "Heartland was pregnant, and she had piglets" said Mr. Arendelle in happy voice. "She did?" Mrs. Arendelle said in a surprised voice. "What's all the fuss about down here? I'm trying to study" Fern said in a somewhat stern voice. Mr. Arendelle responded with: "Heartland has piglets, but there's a runt of the litter. Meaning that the smallest one there is gonna be put to sleep with force"
Fern: "why are you gonna kill it dad?"
Mr. Arendelle: "it's nothing personal, I just think it won't survive long"
Fern: "let me raise the piglet and show you how strong the runt can be"
Mr: Arendelle: "Missy do you approve of this?"
Mrs. Arendelle: "yes I do, because I don't think it's fair to not give the runt a chance to live"
Fern: "is that a yes?"
Mr Arendelle *to Fern* "looks like it is. listen to me, you have to feed and give him water everyday. Do you understand?"
Fern: "yes I do understand"
Fern's father went out to the barn and returned with an adorable piglet
Fern:*happily* "is that my piglet?"
Mr. Arendelle: "he's all yours, get him on a baby bottle"
Fern couldn't be more excited to be holding a piglet she accidentally ignored her father.
Mr. Arendelle: "correction I'll get him a bottle"
Fern: "thank you"
Fern's father went to the kitchen and got a baby bottle and filled it with milk and warmed it up, then went back to the living room.
Mr Arendelle: "here start feeding your new piglet"
Fern takes the bottle from her father and starts feeding the piglet.
Mr. Arendelle: "what are you going to name him?"
Fern: "his name is Wilbur"
Mr. Arendelle: "what a nice name, I'm happy that I gave this piglet a chance"
Missy: "see Robert? Sometimes you gotta learn when something isn't what you want it to be, you can still give it a chance and maybe it will become a miracle"
