I was anxious and excited to go to school that early morning and it's because of one reason. Tobe.

I got to school and I met Charlotte outside the school gate.
I guess she was waiting for me. I bade my mom goodbye and went to meet her.

"Hey." I called.
She turned around and waved.
" Hey Emily." She greeted back.
I ran to meet her.
" I have gist for you."
"This one you have gist hope you are not sick."
"Sick ko. Remember Tobe."
"Why not? My brother in law."
" If I slap you ehh. Ehen yesterday he told me that he likes."
" Shebi I was telling you."
" I want to reject it sha. I used to like him not anymore."
"Emily can hear yourself. That fine boy? And he's rich sef. What is wrong with you? If it was me ehh. I would have agreed so that I can finish his money."
" So that he will start asking for my body. I'm good."
" This girl sef. You are fine, you have shape, your smile is cute. You can turn the heads if many boys so what is it. When the master gave the talents to his servants didn't they use it? I left Charlotte and went to meet Tobe in the classroom.

"Ummm ..... Tobe." I called.

He turned back and gave me a million dollar smile.

Oh my. I'm about to break his heart and his giving me the smile that would make any girl fall.
Be strong. You can do this.

"Yeah babe."

"Ummm ... I wanted to ummm ..... talk about yesterday."
"Ok?"

"In private."

I took his hand and went to the hallways.

" So ....."

" I don't think I'm ready to be in a relationship or like anyone at the moment." I said and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Oh."
" Are you fine."

"Yh. I'm aiit."
"Friends?" I brought my hand out for a handsake.
Surprisingly he took it.
"Friends."

The air suddenly became stuffy so.i had to leave.

Glad that's over.
