You wake up to low chatter around you. The positivity was the first thing that hit you and man was it good! So good you thought that you can dance all day and ni... "nightmare?" You speak in a whisper to your brother slowly noticing how the presser on you isn't there... no response...... MOTHER FU- "yes deam?" Omg! You jump a bit as nightmare was upside down on a tree branch looking down at you.

How the fuck didn't i feel him? He's right there?? He looked like he was going to say something, but some village kids appeared and bombarded you with questions.

'Dream! Dream! Come and play with us! Yeah come come! Let's bake some cookies again and bread and- no! Come read with me!'

...If I had ears, I would've TEAR. THEM. OFF! How the FUCK didn't he go insane!? Positive, must be positive. I put on a smile and agreed to play with them for a bit. They cheered and their positivity was everywhere! I didn't even notice I was being dragged away. It was so potent.

I looked back at the tree... nightmare is still there looking at me.. I'll be gone ONLY for an hour, i promise brother

1 hour later

MAN! THOSE LITTLE SHITS ARE ANNOYING RRRAAAHHH!!! I thought as I sped walked back to the tree. I can still hear and feel their whines and sadness, but not that much now. You look around for nightmare and see him reading a book. It must be a good one considering he didn't notice me. I was going to spook him but saw that he was a little...scuffed.

There were dirt marks on his clothes and little scratches on his head. You lean closer to see tear marks to...ha....haha..hAHAHAHHHAAAA!! SOMEONE'S NOT GOING TO SEE THE SUN TOMOR- "Ugh!" You grunt as you hold on to your chest. A ping of hatred washed over your soul for a moment before dissipating. W-was that the HATE they were talking about?

"Dream! Are you ok? You're angry again. You never get angry.." He asks, now standing beside you with his hand on your shoulder. You flinched a little before answering him."Huh? Yea just a bit... what happened when i was gone?" You ask, wanting to change the topic. Now it was nightmares turn to flinch as he tried to think of an excuse."Oh! I-um- fell! F-from the tree-That's all!"... he's lying, i know he is. You put your hands on his shoulders and look him dead into his eye sockets.

"Brother. Are you sure there wasn't another reason you're hurt?" Nightmare tries to look away from your eyes...he couldn't... just in the distance, I hear quiet laughter. Nightmare eyes look to where it is and quickly look away, hoping I didn't catch that.
