Season 1B Chapter 1: Party

"What do you wanna talk about, Caleb?" Zayn asked as he sat in front of Caleb. "I'm gonna cut you a deal, Zayn, drop your charges, and I'll drop mine," Caleb said as Zayn shook his head slightly. "What charges do you have against me?" Zayn asked as Caleb smirked. "You entered my house, no warrant, that's a felony, you stole my personal belongings, searched my house, you can go to jail for that, means no job, none of that," Caleb said as Zayn crossed his arms. "I won't take you to court if you drop the charges against me, the kidnapping, rape, all of that," Caleb said as Zayn looked down. "Your choice, but if I go to jail, you're going to jail with me," Caleb said as he stood up and walked away. Zayn then slammed his fist on the coffee table.

"Hey, so you know it's kind of my birthday tomorrow," Connor said as Noah smiled. "Yeah, I know," Noah said as Connor leaned against the lockers. "I was thinking we could hang out? Just me and you? That'd be the perfect birthday," Connor said as Noah stared into his eyes. "You don't wanna invite any of your other friends?" Noah asked as Connor shook his head. "All I need is you, my best friend," Connor said as he walked to class. Noah then looked at Connor walking. Noah then took a deep breath, searching through his locker.

"Liv, we have to talk. You've been mad at me for like six months," Lexi said as Olivia looked at her. "I don't have the right to be mad? You slept with my brother behind my back, you lied to me, why didn't you just say something?" Olivia asked as Lexi shrugged. "Liv I fucking miss you bro, I'll end everything with Damien, I just need you back," Lexi said as Olivia smiled slightly. "Don't, you'll hurt him, I don't want you to. I miss you too Lex, just don't lie to me like that again," Olivia said as they hugged each other. Julia then walked past and to her locker.

"Hey Julia," Grace said as she approached Julia. "Uhm, hi," Julia said as she closed her locker. "So I've heard Liam is in town. Are you gonna go see your first love?" Grace asked, smirking. "What's your deal? What's your problem with me?" Julia asked as Grace shrugged. "Maybe the part where you stole my boyfriend from me?" Grace asked as Julia scoffed. "I did not steal Zack from you. He just didn't like the fact that you're a conniving, thieving bitch," Julia said as Grace slapped her. "You're walking a tight, thin line. It's about to snap, watch your back," Grace said as she walked away. "She's crazy," Julia said to herself as she walked to her class.

"Jaimee, can we talk?" Noah asked as he approached Jaimee, who was sitting on his bed. "Of course," Jaimee said as Noah sat beside him. "How, when did you realize you were you know, gay?" Noah asked as Jaimee smiled. "Well, I've always liked guys, pre transition even, but Noah, you don't have to put a label on anything, you don't have to just wake up and say I'm gay now. You're allowed to be whatever you want to be and you don't have to say you're gay or you're straight or bi or any of that, you can just be Noah," Jaimee said as Noah smiled. "Just Noah, that's allowed?" Noah asked as Jaimee nodded. "Yes, it's allowed," Jaimee said as Noah hugged him.

"Yeah, she just has this crazy idea that I like you and that we've started some forbidden romance," Julia said as she sat on Zack's bed. "Well, me and her are broken up now, and I've realized that maybe she's not wrong," Zack said as Julia turned. "What do you mean maybe she's not wrong? Zack, we can't be together," Julia said as Zack turned to face her. "You're not adopted it's, not like you're my actual sister legally, right? You can't help who you fall in love with Julia," Zack said as Julia looked back ahead. "You can't say you don't have feelings for me either, I know you do," Zack said as Julia looked back at him. "It's not right, I don't want to mess this up for Noah. He likes it here so much," Julia said as Zack kissed her. "A forbidden romance is fun," Zack said as Julia started kissing him.

"Fucking bullshit," Zayn said as he walked back in the house. "What is, dad?" Damien asked, who was in the kitchen. "I want to get justice for Noah and Julia, but if I do, I'll go to jail too, and I'm just lost," Zayn said as he sat on the countertop. "Dad, I don't think you should take this to court. Noah, he's happy now, he's with us, you have your foster license, he's not going anywhere. Sometimes, you can't do everything you want to do, you know? I know how much you care about us, all of us, equally, and I know you'd do anything for us, dad, but you have to do something for yourself at some point," Damien said as Zayn stared at him. "You're one person, you're human, you're not meant to just be selfless all the time, a little bit of selfishness isn't exactly a bad thing," Damien said as Zayn nodded. "You're right, so instead, I'm just gonna have to make Julia and Noah's stay here, permanent," Zayn said as Damien raised an eyebrow. "You want to adopt them?" Damien asked as Zayn nodded. "I have to ask them later when Noah gets home," Zayn said as Damien nodded.

"Where are your parents?" Noah asked as he walked in. "They're out to get me some presents, I'm guessing, but I'm not really sure exactly what they're doing," Connor said as he started walking to his room. "Oh, okay," Noah said as he followed. Connor then shut the door behind them. "We need to talk, Noah," Connor said as Noah turned to face him.

"Noah, I, I don't think I like you just as a friend anymore," Connor said as Noah raised an eyebrow. "What, what do you mean?" Noah asked as Connor kissed him. "Oh," Noah said as Connor sat on his bed. "I'm just so confused because I've never liked anyone how I like you. Any girl, I've never felt this way before," Connor said as Noah sat beside him. "I really like you, Noah, but my dad, he'd never approve of us," Connor said as Noah put a hand on top of Connor's. "I understand not everyone thinks the same way. Some people don't like that, and I understand that, so we don't have to tell anyone about this," Noah said as Connor shook his head slightly. "Noah, I don't want you to be my dirty little secret, I want everyone I know to know that I'm dating you, but it's just hard," Connor said as Noah hugged him. "Happy birthday, let's keep this birthday happy why don't we," Noah said as Connor laughed a bit.

Noah then walked back into the house where Julia, Zayn, and Jaimee were waiting for him. "Let's talk bubba," Julia said as he walked over. "We've been talking and we've decided that we want to adopt the both of you, how do you feel about that?" Zayn asked as Noah hugged him. "Please do," Noah said as Zayn laughed. "Julia?" Jaimee asked as Julia smiled slightly. "It's a good idea," Julia said as Jaimee laughed.
