. . .Hyunjin's week was going to be pretty hectic. Lots of packing, moving, adjusting, etc.
When he received the email from his dream college a few weeks ago–saying he was accepted, he was shocked and blissful at the same time.
Even his best friend, Changbin was shocked too, him saying "No fucking way they actually accepted you" once the boy told his friend.
They were as dumbstrucked as they were because Hyunjin's highschool years were very...unpleasant. His grades were the worst they've ever gotten and he would never want to reach out for help in order to help bump them up.
He was too scared.
That was until he met Changbin, who helped tutor him and bring his grades to at least a C which would give him the credits he needed in order to graduate.
Even though Changbin was now by his side, he was still very much struggling mentally and somewhat physically...so, his friend booked him with a therapist once he's been adjusted to his college and dorm.
Hyunjin really wanted to decline by saying, "Dude...I seriously don't need one, I swear" but Changbin wouldn't let him..he desperately needed the help.
He has a bad temper, he bottles everything up to himself, his coping mechanisms could end up with him being in the hospital, he gets horrible nightmares, it feels like there's constantly a heavy weight on his shoulders and the list goes on.
One thing Hyunjin really despised about this whole college thing is that the college happens to be right nearby the lake.
The lake his parents drowned in.
The lake where he failed to save his own parents.
The lake where if he wouldn't have begged them to go, they would've still been here with him.
Hyunjin knew where this college was located but this is his dream college and he would always tell his parents he would make it , which he did.
He never ever opens up to anybody, but once he and Changbin grew closer in highschool, he couldn't help but cry to him and tell him about the tragic story.
Him repeatedly saying "It's all my fault".. . .
The blonde, who's hair was tied in a low bun, began to transfer his boxes onto the rental truck in order to move all of his belongings to the college.
Once they finished loading up the truck, Hyunjin thanked the workers with a bow, now walking back inside of his small apartment that he will now be saying goodbye forever to.
Entering the empty bedroom, he heavily sighed as his stomach twisted with anxiety and nervousness.
He wasn't ready to leave, but he had to. Hyunjin walked over to the closet to grab some last few things he needed to take with him. He grabbed his dog carrier for Kkami and his own personal book bag.
