"And after he asked me for my Instagram, I just panicked and lied to him, saying that I don't have any social media." You spoke in frustration and embarrassment, touching your flustered face as you recounted the story that happened this morning.

It's finally lunchtime, which is one of the few opportunities you have to catch up with your friend Akaashi.

"I don't know what to do man, I just can't believe I possibly blew my chance that horribly"

He is a trustworthy friend who comforts you in your darkest moments. However...

"Oh woooow, no wonder you don't have a love life. You're the embodiment of a love repellant at this rate." he snickered in sarcasm

SOMETIMES HE'S JUST SO MEAN FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON!!!!

"OH COME ON AKAASHI, AT LEAST TRY TO COMFORT ME OR SOMETHING!" you fake cry. Sometimes I always wondered, how on earth we became friends and what happened to his sweet and kind demeanour. Oh well...

"In all seriousness, we can't cry over spilt milk. You might have regrets at times, but everything will be alright, okay? You have many opportunities in the future, and you know I'll always be there for you if you need help," he said, showing that he still has a kind heart.

"Awww thanks, you always know what to say in these situations huh?" you sobbed while hugging him. His embrace felt warm and comforting, just like home.

"And I guess you should hope and pray you don't see him tomorrow" he blurted out.

Oh shit.

You completely forgot that there was a chance you might see him again.

This information immediately puts you into a panic frenzy.

"Shoot, I accidentally said that out loud, she's definitely overthinking. I need to change topic quickly" he instantly thought.

"Wait instead of panicking over some guy, don't you have a physics test after this?" he questioned, leading you to forget all of your overthinking thoughts.

Oh right. You completely forgot about that test. You had a full week to prepare but what you did do instead? That's right, you did nothing other than watch shows all day.

" Since I know you definitely did not study for it and my class did it before yours, I'll give you my notes ok?"

"But... You owe me something," he smirked cunningly

"Of course, you would do something like that, what do want this time" you scoffed, rolling your eyes. This isn't your first rodeo, he'll never let you off scott-free when it comes to these situations.

"Well, I'll tell you when the time comes, how hurry up and go study. You can't fail this test you know, or your mom will kill you and I'm not holding any funerals for you." he gave you his notes, rushed you to class and immediately left.

He never gave you a chance to say goodbye but oh well, it's time to do some studying.

After that obnoxious test, you are finally free from school. Out of class, you found Akaashi and took a walk together to the volleyball court. Akaashi, as usual, starts the conversation with the obvious

"So... how was the test?"

"I can't lie, thanks to you it was surprisingly eas- wait no I can't jinx it like last time... it was surprisingly decent, to say the least. "you tried to pick words carefully.

"I don't know if that should be a good thing or not..." he said unsurely.

"Hey, at least I'm not like Bokuto or something... Didn't he get like a 40 on his Trig test at one point and was proud of it?"

"Please don't remind me of that. I'm sick of seeing his cute dumb face thinking he's smart because of that." he slightly blushed, remembering those memories again

"Wait did just say he's cute-"

"Well we're here now, so shoo. Don't you have a volleyball team to manage right now?" Akaashi desperately tries to change this topic. He can't endure your torturous teasing if this conversation continues any longer.

"Calm down Mr Fruitcup. I'm going but I'll be surprised if they show up, it's been a while"

"Well seeya kaashi, have fun setting for your lover booooy~" you cooed. Man seeing Akaashi get flustered is so cute.

You finally left and headed on to the other court, the one for the girls' team.  As the team manager for almost two years, you are familiar with how the routine works. Nine out of ten times, there are always one or two - or sometimes the whole team who skip practice as if they are not interested in the sport. This can be frustrating. However, the only exception to this is on Wednesdays because that's the mandatory break they all agreed to. You wish they had more passion for the sport, but that remains a mere wish. Since the incident, you have refrained from expressing your thoughts to the team.

sigh

" I'm finally here, let's see if the squad finally is here" You rolled your eyes as you opened to door. As you entered your face was in shock that...
