I walked further into the bridge and admired the hustle and bustle of the place. It was amazing how far technology had come since I was in high school. Steve stepped up next to me.
"Bet you never saw this kind of stuff during world war two."
I teased.
"No, not like this."
He smiled and looked out the window to the clouds. I turned away and sat at the large table behind us. I paid no attention as Fury spoke to Steve, Natasha, and Bruce. My skin was crawling at the idea that now I was surrounded by SHIELD. As much as I wanted to trust Fury, I couldn't let my guard down.
"We have a 67 percent match."
One of the agents called out. I stood and walked over to Fury.
"Scratch that 79 percent."
"Time to suit up."
Steve exclaimed and I looked at him.
"What do you mean 'suit up'?"
I was confused.
"We've got that taken care of."
I heard Natasha behind me.
"Follow me."
She turned and walked further into the helicarrier. She led me to a room filled with different styles of outfits. One was hung in plain view. It was a tight fitting body suit the color of the caribbean sea. It had silver arm cuffs laid on the table next to it and a pair of silver boots on the floor.
"Hopefully this works for you."
She motioned toward the outfit.
"We can adjust to your needs as we go."
I was left speechless. I reached my hand out to feel the fabric. It was soft.
"You can change in that room. Meet us at the hanger when you're done."
Natasha left and I was by myself. I quickly grabbed the suit and changed. It slipped on perfectly. It wasn't restricting at all and was almost as though I wasn't wearing anything. I put the cuffs and matching boots.
I made my way toward the hanger and found Steve and Natasha at one of the quinjets.
"Let's go, Thea. We're losing time."
Natasha commanded and I hoped on board.
