[Calypso's PDV]
Calypso watched as new clients entered "At the Dawn of Dreams" every day in search of the perfect outfit for the grand wedding. Although she was thrilled for her shop and the happy events uniting the kingdom, a shadow of sadness veiled her heart. She dreamt of attending, of seeing Prince Percy with her own eyes, and most of all, of experiencing this part of the kingdom's history. But reality stood firm: she was just a saleswoman in a dress shop, far from the splendors and intrigues of the court.
One evening, as the boutique settled into calmness after a busy day, Calypso shared her feelings with Rachel. "It's unfair, isn't it?" she began. "Everyone talks about this wedding as if it's the event of their lives, and we... we're just distant spectators."
Rachel, who shared her sentiment, placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I know, Calypso. I wish I could go too, especially to see Princess Thalia."
At that moment, their solitude was interrupted by the arrival of Calypso's mother, wearing a mysterious smile and holding a newspaper. "Guess what I found," she said, waving the newspaper in front of their eyes. "A contest to win invitations to the wedding!"
Calypso and Rachel's eyes instantly lit up. Without wasting a moment, they decided to try their luck in the contest. With passion and determination, they composed their entry, putting all their hearts into hoping for a favorable outcome.
The next day, it was with a mix of excitement and anxiety that Calypso rushed to the mail, and there, amidst the bills and advertisements, an envelope stood out. Trembling, she opened it to discover the news that would change their week: they had won!
In a burst of shared joy, Rachel and Calypso cried out in happiness, already envisioning the big day. "We're going to see Prince Percy! And Princess Thalia!" exclaimed Rachel, torn between joy and apprehension.
Rachel's question about Calypso's reaction to seeing King Dias made the latter grimace. Her father's death at the hands of the king was a wound still fresh. "I'll deal with it," she finally responded, determined not to let the past darken this opportunity.
Excitement rushing back, Rachel suggested they choose their outfits in the store. Calypso, with a radiant smile, agreed. "And it'll be free!"
In the magical haven of At the Dawn of Dreams, surrounded by fabrics and colors, Calypso and Rachel experienced a timeless moment. For Calypso, the quest for the perfect dress ended when she laid eyes on a spectacular creation: a dress divided in harmony between gold and beige, belted with gold, with a strap also in gold. As she tried it on, she transformed, the fabric hugging her body as if it had been designed by the gods themselves. She stood there, resplendent, the embodiment of an ancient goddess, a bridge between glorious past and dazzling present.
Rachel, on the other hand, had chosen a long white dress, adorned with touches of gold that subtly accentuated the neckline. Her beauty, natural and effortless, was showcased, reminiscent of the timeless grace of the muses who inspire poets and artists. Together, they formed a dazzling duo, ready to captivate the gaze of any spectator on the big day.
After admiring themselves in the mirror and sharing a moment of mutual wonder, they hugged each other, an embrace laden with emotions and promises of adventures to come. It was more than preparation for an event; it was the celebration of their friendship and dreams coming true.
As they sat, still enveloped in the aura of their transformation, the conversation naturally drifted towards Prince Percy and Princess Hazel. Calypso, ever a dreamer, shared her thoughts. "Can you imagine, Rachel? Being part of history in the making, seeing Prince Percy in person... And Princess Hazel, think of the love that must unite two people to decide to share their lives with the whole world watching."
