"You've got to be kidding me!" I practically screamed, furiously going up to see if I could reverse the dialogue options on my game, Collar X Malice. Damnit! I couldn't! This looked like it was heading to the bad end! I got shot! And Okazaki is just holding me like that! "I can't die!"
Furiously pressing through, I was relieved to find out that while I did get shot by Zero, it was still the good ending. How messed up was that!
My phone buzzed suddenly. I had a text from my best friend, Maria. 'You ready for class tomorrow?'
'Yeah, the professor's going over the theories on preschool development! You excited?'
'Absolutely. How's that new game you got going?'
'Nearly finished, I just finished Okazaki's route. I only have Shiraishi and Yanagi left!'
'Wait, already? Didn't you just get that game two days ago?'
'Yep!' I texted a laugh emoji with it. 'It's just that good!'
Maria sent her own laugh emojis. 'Well don't stay up too late finishing it, class is at 8am!'
'I won't, I promise.'
I closed my phone with a smile. Standing up, off my dorm bed, I stretched. I went to my mini fridge and grabbed a drink, popping the can open and taking a sip. It was time for a break, I'd been playing Collar X Malice for several hours straight now.
When I checked the time, it was only 7pm, so I had time to start Shiraishi's route before going to bed. I pulled up my Switch after climbing back into my bed and pressed the start button.

My phone was buzzing, waking me up from a deep sleep. Groggily, I grabbed at my phone and saw Maria was calling me.
"Whaa. . ." I grumbled.
"Where are you?!" Maria asked. "I've been texting you forever! Class is about to start!"
"Oh shit!" I bolted upright in bed and looked at the time. 7:58! "Take notes for me! I'll be there as soon as I can!"
"Okay!" Maria promised.
I hung up the phone and rushed to get dressed. Grabbing everything really quickly, I was out the door in three minutes. Thank goodness I lived in a dorm on campus, so I was close to classes anyways. I was running as fast as I could and not paying attention to what was around me. I really should have been paying attention.
Suddenly, I felt something large slam into me as I crossed the street and everything went black.
