notes and disclaimers

five days ago i was saying feyd-rautha looked like a (literal) dickhead on twitter. four days ago i watched dune 2 in theatres. and so here we are. i won't even attempt to defend myself.

so here's the sitch. i've recently watched both dune movies and am currently reading the book just over halfway through. 400 pages in 2 days is a record for me so that's how i know my insanity over this is real.

idk all the dune lore or all the harkonnen lore and i won't be reading or referencing brian herbert's books in this fic. things will definitely be out of character and break canon both because i haven't finished reading and because i need to make feyd just a FRACTION less weird to make this work for me. i just heard about the cannibalism and i'm shocked even though i know i shouldn't be. anywho i don't plan on making that a core part of the story or feyd's characterization here. sorry if you enjoy reading that i just don't think i can i've been out of my nbc hannibal era for quite some time now.

ANYWAYS

1. idk shit about house vernius and will be refencing the dune wiki for that. i just needed to plop my oc in one of the great houses that isn't atredies/harkonnen/corrino
2. if some lore is incorrect here i'm probably just making something up/changing lore to fit the narrative so sorry about that
3. paul's ascension and the holy war won't be in this. he's just chilling.
4. there will be no pregnancy here, or successful pregnancies at least.
5. characters will be aged up a few years from the book. feyd will be 19 and anastacia 20
6. this fic is formatted to best fit black pages, times new roman, smallest font, scrolling. but read it however you like!
