You have your arms folded, your hands clenching your arms in anxiety. Everyone was at the portal. You were so close to freedom but it felt nerve racking. It was just because you're going to a new world, right? Why did you feel like something bad was going to happen? You always did have good instincts, gut ones anyway. You heard footsteps approaching you from behind, coming to your side. You already knew who it was. The ginger haired girl, of course.
"Are you excited to finally see the world we've always wanted?" she asked, you could already tell she was beaming from your pherial vision.
"I don't know, Em. I don't have a good feeling about this." You said.
"It's just your nerves. Don't worry! Nothing is gonna go wrong." She reassured you.
"You're sure 'the one' didn't want anything else? Anything at all?" You asked, turning to her.
"They wanted nothing. Don't worry." Emma said before she pried your own hands off your arms, "I promise."
"Right..." You dropped your hands to your sides.
"I'm gonna make sure everyone else is ready, ok?" Emma said before she turned, beginning to walk to a group of younger kids.
"Em?" You spoke before she was too far.
"Yeah?" she whipped her head around to face you.
"Love you." You said, you felt like you should say it. You didn't know why.
"Love you too!" she gave you a bright smile before she continued walking.
God, why did you feel so anxious? Why did your stomach drop everytime you thought about walking through that portal? You were feeling more dread than when you were stuck in Lambda. Ok, maybe not that dramatic. Especially since Lambda was like... Crazy.
You had some kids come up to you. You smiled at them as they all seemed excited.
"I'm so excited!"
"What do you think we'll get to do?"
"Y/N what do you wanna do when we get there?"
Those were some questions those kids spoke. There was four of them.
"Hmm I don't know." you said, it was true. You didn't know anymore.
"Boring!" one said
You laughed, "well what do you wanna do?"
They went silent trying to think before shrugging.
"Great. We can all figure it out when we get there." You said.
You heard some foot steps approaching you again from behind. You identified his footsteps quickly. Yes, you could identify most people by their footsteps. I mean how could you not with everything that had happened?
"We're ready." Norman spoke, you nodded in response.
"Pairs of two at least? Just to be safe?" You suggested
You turned your head to the albino. He nodded with a small smile. He seemed to be getting back to normal. Well, as normal as one can be after facing everything he did. I mean he was so unrecognizable you slapped him at one point. You wished you could've saved him from hurt but you can't blame yourself for everything. It's not fair to yourself.
"Alright. Pair up or you as a group of four can go through, ok?" you told the kids.
They nodded before running towards the portal together. They didn't go through just went near it so when they actually started sending them through, they'd be like the first ones. You let out a breath you didn't even know you had been holding in. You scanned the room. Norman said something incoherent to Emma. Probably about grouping kids up. You looked over to another part of the room. Ray was already grouping kids. You walked over to some groups that hadn't been told yet to group up. You told them to either pair or group being a safety thing. You then told them to go line up for the portal. Each group you did this with, did it faster than the next. They truly were excited.
