As soon as I got back to the lab, I threw the nasty paper on Celeste's observation table and said, "here take it. Ugh that was the worst thing I've ever had to do for a damned piece of paapperr. Paper. I had to stick my hand. In a guys ass. For a piece of paper. Gosh I just love my job."

As soon as I got done with my rant, she cocked an eyebrow while muttering," you're such a puss-wa."

I looked up and scrunched my eyebrows. I couldn't help the grin that spread across my face though. "Did you just call me a pussy? No you did not."

She smirked and shrugged her shoulders. She snapped a glove on her right hand and picked up the paper. She waved goodbye and teetered back into her private lab and closed the door behind her. Great, now I wouldn't have anyone to hang out with for the remainder of the day.

I decided to go to every white girls favorite hang-out spot: Starbucks. The walk wasn't far, about ten minutes. As soon as I stepped in, the smell of decaf coffee and hipsters hit me. There were hipsters occupying most of the tables, all of them sporting some sign of their "coolness" and "being mainstream". Some docked nerd glasses, clothes from urban outfitters, one even had a typewriter. No wifi needed for that. I decided on a table with two chairs farther back in Starbucks. Ahh peace. I whipped out my iPhone and started texting my dad.

{<hey dad, how's everything? When are you coming to visittt. Lol I'm lonely and have no friends. So I'm resolved to being pals with you.>}

{<haha real funny little girl. Maybe should should get out more if you're sooo lonely. But I should be home next sunday, and we can go out to dinner. How does that sound?>}

{<i do consider myself quite funny, thank you father. And yeah dinner sounds great(: talk to you later?>}

{<of course. Love you.>}

{< love you too dad.>}

I locked my phone and went up to the counter. "Hi I'd like a tall vanilla bean frappe."

"Will that be all?"

"Yes siree."

"Haha, your total is $5.45." The cute cashier said. He had curly brown hair, dimples, and blue eyes. He looked at me and blushed. "Hey I know this might be a little random, but do you, ehhr, wanna go on a date tonight maybe?"

"With who?" I said, joking, but I guess he took me seriously. "I'm just kidding curly moe, sure. Here's my number."

I handed him a napkin with my number on it. He had the biggest grin, his smile was adorable. "Hey what's your name?"

"Valentina, and yours?"

"Beautiful name. And Brendan."

I smirked and waved at him as I walked out the door. "See you tonight Brendan."
