"My life ending right before my eyes. That day, the day someone broke in to Kamiyama"
The spirit stared off into the sunset, thinking of that fateful day. The horrific screams were just something they couldn't forget. What kind of monster would even think of doing this to a school full of innocent people? Mizuki just couldn't understand.
"I'm just glad that at least some of my friends survived. I don't know what I'd do if I saw any of them here with me. Especially Ena.."
Mizuki sighed as they remembered the events of that day.

October 18
It was a sunny day. Mizuki was heading to Kamiyama High School. This was rare, as they usually didn't go to school unless they absolutely had to. They were looking forward to their day.
But little did they know that this was the unfortunate day that their life would end.
"Hellooo~, Kamiyama!" They called out as they walked into the school.
"Oh, Mizuki! You're finally here!" An ran up to Mizuki as they walked through the main hall. "Did you get dared to come here more often, or did you and Kamishiro make a deal that he'd eat more vegetables if you came here more often-"
"Jeez, calm down An. I just need to get some more days into my attendance so I can actually move up at the end of the yea—"
Everything went silent by the noise of an announcement sounding.
"EMERGENCY LOCKDOWN PROCEDURE. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. ALL STUDENTS AND FACULTY, PLEASE GET TO A SAFE AREA IMMEDIATELY. I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A DRILL."
Both An and Mizuki's heads snapped towards the PA system.
"What was that-"
BANG
...A gunshot.
BANG
...
A scream.
They both were worrying about themselves and the others. What happened to them? Are they safe? Are we going to die? Was this a good choice? Why did I have to come to school today? Who would do this? Both of them had endless questions.
After a while of hiding in silence and fearing for their lives, the two heard the door open and two panicked footsteps walked in. The door closed behind them.
Listening closely, Mizuki could hear two familiar voices...
"Akito, are you alright-?"
"Y-Yeah, I—" The voice was cut off by coughing. It sounded painful.
"Hey- Hey- deep breaths.."
Both Mizuki and An's eyes were widened.
"Oh my fucking god... Akito, are you okay?" An whispered. She was in shock after seeing Akito's physical state.
Akito coughed up more blood. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine..."
Toya was panicking and frantically trying to find supplies to try and help Akito's wounds heal.
