The two first periods went by really slowly, since I didn't understand a word and my teachers always picked me to answer questions.

I'm starting to regret coming to this school, seriously.

It was lunchtime, also time to choose between Cody and Diana.

I decided to choose Diana and sat down with Zach and Nathan, completly ignoring Cody who was calling my name.

"Hey man." Nathan greeted, as Zach shot me a head nod.

"Sup." I smiled at them.

I saw Bree and Tessa walk towards us with their lunchboxes and I opened mine to take out my sandwich.

Tessa sat in front of Nathan, which was to my right, and Bree sat down on my left, in front of Zach.

"So, Jeffrey, did you meet a girl you like?" Bree asked, opening her lunchbox.

My eyes widened and I stuffed the sandwich in my mouth.

"Is that a yes?" Tessa smirked, glancing over at Nathan.

"Maybe." I managed to say when I finished eating my sandwich.

"Awww!" Bree exclaimed. "Who?!" She seemed too excited over this.

"Uhh..." I stared at Zach, hoping he would do something to save me.

His eyes widened and he shrugged meaning he didn't know what to do so my glare flickered over to Nathan.

"What?" He asked, which made my palm meet my forehead.

"Well, this is awkward." I bit my bottom lip. I seriously wanted to disappear at that moment.

I saw Cody come towards us from the corner of my eye and Nathan nudged Zach.

"Ah sh-." Nathan clasped his hand over Zach's mouth to stop him from talking.

"Jeffrey, I called you, didn't you hear me?"

"Uhh... No." I gulped.

Basically everyone in the cafeteria was staring at us, including Diana, why so curious though?

"I guess you're deaf." He rolled his eyes at me.

I wanted to get up and turn everyone's faces so they could mind their own business.

"Yeah, I guess that's it." I sighed.

Please leave.

"Now you know, come with me." He glanced over at the table where most of his friends were.

My gaze flickered over to Diana, who was picking on a salad with her fork, she was staring back at me.

I declined his offer. "I'll stay here, anyways, I'm already eating."

I saw Diana smile a bit and Cody looked over to where I was looking.

He glanced back at me with an angry but confused look.

"Does this have anything to do with her?" He pointed at her, making all the faces turn to her, also making her blush in embarrassment.

"Is this the girl you like?" I heard Bree whisper in my ear.

I saw Diana get up, grab her lunchbox and leave, as everyone was watching every single movement she was making.

"Diana!" Cody called out, she stopped in her tracks, but didn't turn around. "Could you come here please?" He knew that everyone was watching, he only did this because he knew that Diana hated attention. She slowly turned around and gave me a worried look, gulped and walked towards him.
