•CHAPTER 36•
Wednesday
Kass' POV"Yo Kass, lemme talk to you for a minute." Matthew tapped my shoulder interrupting me from packing up a few bags for the next run. We got to the club early so we can get ahead of some of the work Anita wanted us to do, it was just me and Matt and a few security guards here.
"What's good bro?" I said following him to another part of the building. He took a seat and sighed while shaking his head. I didn't know what the fuck was wrong wit him but I needed him to start speaking now.
"Bro you good? What's wrong?" I stared at him until he spoke.
"It's Tee man. That nigga ain't dead." The look on his face was scared but it ain't phase me at all.
"What you mean he ain't dead? That nigga had a funeral and everything man. You been drinkin' again?" I asked laughing at how dumb he sounded.
He smacked his teeth, "Man naw! Icelynn said she saw him when she was out the other day with Lauryn."
Icelynn have been blowing my phone down, but I just thought it was because of some petty shit. Maybe she was calling me because of that reason.
"And that ain't even the worst part. He was there with Anita." Matt looked up at me still with the same scared look. I felt like he knew something that I didn't.
"So what that mean? He boutta be workin' with us?"
"I don't know what that shit could mean but I ain't gon ask her about it, cause you know she not gon tell us bro. I just can't believe that nigga ain't dead."
"Yeah me either." I shrugged.
"I told Icelynn to stay away from him before I really put a bullet in his ass and make sure he ain't breathing this time." Matt said.
"What about Sevyn? She just had the baby a few weeks ago. You think I should have Selena tell her?"
"Nah man, let's just see how this play out and then if he cool and ain't trynna beef then we good. Just keep yo eyes open for Anita and that nigga." Matt explained before we both got up and dipped out the club just to come back a few hours later.
Later that day, I took Selena to her doctor's appointment. This was the day we was finding out the gender and she kept arguing me down saying that our baby was a girl but I just knew it was a big head ass boy in there by the ultrasound.
"What I tell you girl? I knew you was havin' my baby boy." I smiled rubbing her stomach that was getting bigger by the day. She looked so pretty, like she always did.
"Whatever. Congratulations you got your boy, now I have to call Sevyn and my mom to let them know they lost the best." She rolled her eyes and took out her phone as we walked to the car.
"So y'all had a bet and didn't include me? I see how it is." I joked opening the car door for her to get inside.
We both were hungry by now so I was driving to get us something to eat. Selena was on the phone with her people but I could hear someone crying and screaming on the other end.
"Calm down Sevyn, you can tell me what's wrong. Is it Sarai?" She said looking out the window.
I couldn't hear exactly what they was tellin' her but she darted her eyes at me and her mouth fell to the damn floor. "Okay stay calm Sevyn, we're on the way okay? Don't open the door!" Selena yelled before ended the call.
