"What did you say?" Yoongi asked me. I knew he'd heard me but I could see in his eyes that he needed to hear it again.
"You heard me," I said, my words coming out braver than I realized. "I said kiss me."
"Are you sure?" Yoongi's eyes searched mine for any uncertainty as he continued, "Because as much as I want this, how much my body is craving this, I need to know that you want it too."
My body felt like a car being driven by someone else as my hand instinctively reached up and touched his hair. As I ran my fingers through his soft, dark locks, I nodded and said, "I'm sure, Yoongi. In fact, I don't think I've ever been surer of anything in my life. We can both blame this on the bond we both feel, but I don't think that's all this is, and I can tell you don't either."
"You're right," he replied, his voice deep and sultry as a low grumble barely escaped his throat when my fingernails gently scraped his scalp. "This feeling isn't just because of the bond."
"So then what's stopping you?" I asked him as he leaned closer to me.
"Say it again," he gently commanded as his eyes darkened with want. "One more time, Amanda. Tell me what you want."
"Kiss me Yoongi, please," I whispered as he leaned in, and before I could take a ragged breath, I felt his lips press gently to mine for the first time.
I'd always heard stories from people about what it felt like to kiss the person you're fated to be with for the first time. Some said it sounded like bells ringing. Some described smelling flowers. My parents said they felt like they were floating in the air. None of those descriptions could even come close to describing the euphoric feeling I experienced the moment I felt Min Yoongi's kiss on my lips.
I felt ice flowing through my veins while fire raced along my skin as his soft, pliant lips gently and slowly worked against mine. I heard the soft sound of wind blowing through the forest trees while smelling the rich scent of pine and clean woodsy air.
And the way he tasted...
We'd not even deepened the kiss past gentle brushes of our lips and I could taste coffee, vanilla, and a hint of sweetness that almost reminded me of mint.
I was completely delirious and drunk on the taste of him when he pulled back and pressed his forehead against mine. "Wow," he breathed, as he took several shallow breaths. "That...was...incredible."
"It was," I sighed as my heart pounded so strongly that I was sure he could feel it.
"Yeah?" he asked me.
I looked up at him through starry eyes and replied, "Yoongi that...that was the most beautiful kiss I've ever had."
His mouth curled up into a crooked smile as his breathing began to slow. "And we've barely begun."
I smiled up at him as my fingers gently gripped his hair a bit tighter. He groaned lightly and his eyes fluttered closed at the feel before he looked at me with a deepened desire. His hand slid around my waist and as he pulled me closer, I felt his palm flatten against my back. "Is this all right?"
"Yes," I breathed, desperate with the need to feel his kiss again. I slid my other hand up and pressed my hand flat against his chest and the heat of his body through his shirt made my breath catch.
Just as I curled my fingers and gripped his shirt in my grasp, we leaned into each other and our lips connected again, this time a bit deeper as they instinctively parted and nestled together perfectly.
The taste of vanilla became stronger and more intense as he captured my bottom lip between his plump ones and I couldn't hold back the soft moan that escaped my throat. Tingles were shooting all over my body as he kissed me and he held me close against him, almost as if he were afraid I'd slip away. I understood the feeling because I was holding on to him just as tightly.
