I was woken up to Evander shouting in frustration. I was going to ignore it and go back to sleep, but the buzzer went off and Raymond's robotic voice came through informing me about Aunt Rachel's return. I got up from my soft bed and went down with my work that needed to be completed ASAP. Downstairs in the hall, I was faced with Andy and Evander tinkering with the flip phone, sparks flew from what they were laser welding.

Noticing the lack of room, I headed towards the back room. I completed my work in a few hours and headed towards the kitchen to get a sweet.

As I snacked on the sweet, I texted Amy about the museum opening and asked whether she will be there too. I headed to the hall to check on their progress.

"How is it going so far?" I asked as I sat on the armchair pulling my feet onto it.

"Pretty good actually..." Andy trailed off as he continued to take notes. I let them be and checked whether Amy had replied to my message, she hadn't. I went through other messages and replied to some. I went onto news to check out what Amy had spoke about, to find nothing about it. They were fast not fast enough though. I look away from my screen at the noise of triumph from both Andy and Evander.

Evander pulled out a sim card and started presenting "Due to our day-to-day technology being connected by electricity in the air of the dome and a handful of radio frequencies causing it to be connected to everything in some way or another. They can always track all devices. this sim is connected by an entirely different radio frequency that was already generated but only came with static, so we fine-tuned it and created a connection between the two flip phones."

Andy pies from behind him "and if that fails, we have a wide range Bluetooth connection." Pointing at a little black piece connected to the USB "this little piece acts as a wire so that means this one will be a receiver while the other is a transmitter. To make sure it goes to the right device we incorporated numbers to dial before texting or calling. The sim has only a certain number of minutes and text messages that it can send and then it no longer exists, its somewhat similar to what they called burner phones back then" that's actually quite impressive.

Evander ran off to another part of the house and Andy remained in the hall. Andy seemed to have the receiver. After a few moments it started to vibrate, and Andy started to rock on the balls of his feet. He pressed a button and put it to his ear and spoke, the exclamation I heard was enough answer for me. Rachel came into the hall from Evander's shout and peering over my shoulder at what Andy was doing. She hummed in amusement as Evander came running back and started taking down notes.

Evander started to mutter under his breath "now that it works, we can all have one" that didn't seem like a good idea.

"I don't want to have such a heavy thing on me, it weighs like a slab of metal." I replied to his mindless muttering.

"Well, it is a slab of metal and some wires" Andy replied confusedly.

"I didn't mean it literally."

"well he did" Alex added "plus not right now, we still got to check it out properly" when he understood the meaning of my words.

"Can it call anywhere inside the dome, without being detected by RI when you use a radio frequency that isn't used? "I questioned to verify safety.

"Yea It should, since it won't use even half a quarter of electricity and only for short period of time." That's good.

"Why? "Andy asked.

"No just curious."

"alright "

"Rachel come look "Evander handed her one when he realized that she was in the hall watching all of this.

"We need to make two more, so we can all have one for emergencies "

her eyes bulged out, and whispered while inspecting the flip phone "you actually made one I thought you were kidding "

"You know when it comes to technology I don't kid "

"Should have known better" she chuckled warily "make sure to hide this. You can get sent to the ROO facility just for talking about making these stuff these days and now that you have made it, well the consequences are greater. "She warned softly handing the phone back.

Now she decides to warn them. "If it's so dangerous, why even let them think of making these and you didn't even shut their idea down in the beginning."

my tone turned accusing "we can add the fact that you work for ROO which gives you even more reason to discourage them."

"Well, I thought they were kidding and just idle talk." she crossed her arms, widening her stance.

"We both know like Evander said 'they don't kid' when it comes to technology" I said putting my feet down and tilting my head at her.

She only watched me, silence fell. The boys were looking back and forth hesitantly, and then she smiled again and headed towards the kitchen.

"What was with the interrogation? You know that she doesn't like to shut us down..." Evander realized.

"And don't put that idea in her head and make her question how she deals with things, what if she tells us to destroy it!" Evander hushed with annoyance.

"That was strange, but really don't make her do that "Andy said with uncertainty, they really shouldn't be doing any of these things.

"You really shouldn't be doing this; the past should stay in the past." I spoke irritation seeping from my voice

"Don't involve it with our present. Just because you want to sate your curiosity" but I can't force them any more than I do. They flinched; I pursed my lips when I realized why.

I sighed and stood up, I headed towards my room.

I took one last look at the kitchen; Aunt Rachel was pacing back and forth in the kitchen on the phone.

I was a hypocrite.
