Y/n at Mumbai airport-
(Y/n's POV)
My palms were slick against the worn handle of my suitcase, the wheels rumbling rhythmically on the polished airport floor. Everything gleamed - the stainless steel accents, the floor-to-ceiling windows revealing a gleaming jet, the faces of people swirling around me, a kaleidoscope of languages bouncing off the high ceilings. This wasn't my usual bus stand back home. This was the international terminal, a gateway to a dream I still couldn't quite believe.
Me, Y/n, a nobody from a bustling Indian city, about to become a PA and guide for Jeon Jungkook, my ultimate idol, the ex- lead singer of BTS. A shiver danced down my spine, both from the air-conditioning and the nervous thrill.
"Okay, y/n," I muttered to myself, practicing my best no-nonsense voice. "Professional. You got this. Just another client, albeit the most perfect one ever." But a goofy grin threatened to split my face in two.
Taking a deep breath, I checked the departure board again. His flight was due any minute. My stomach lurched - a nervous flutter that felt suspiciously like butterflies having a mosh pit in there. What if I messed up? What if I couldn't understand his Korean? While talking to myself. I heard a whimper snagged my attention. It wasn't the usual excited squeal, but a small, lost sound.
Following the sniffle, I spotted a tiny figure huddled beneath a departures board, dwarfed by the towering suitcases. A shock of dark hair peeked out, and a tear-stained cheek glinted under the harsh overhead lights. My heart lurched. A lost child - the worst nightmare of any crowded place.
Hesitantly, I knelt before him. "Hey, little one," I said softly. "Are you alright?"
He looked up, startled. Big, brown eyes welled with fresh tears, his lower lip trembling. He hiccupped, clutching a worn teddy bear. "I... I lost Mama," he choked out, his voice barely a whisper.
Panic clawed at my throat. This wasn't just any lost item, it was a scared child separated from his guardian. "Don't worry," I soothed, forcing a calm I didn't quite feel. "What's your name?"
He sniffed again, wiping his nose on the back of his hand. "Somy--ansh."
"Okay, Somyansh..." I said, trying to sound reassuring. "Have you seen anyone in a uniform? Maybe someone with a security badge?"
Somyansh shook his head, his dark eyes widening in fear. "No, I ran to see the airplanes. Mama said goodbye to the toilet, but she never came back."
Their boarding time flashed through my mind, the insistent countdown on my phone mocking my growing concern. But I couldn't just leave him here. Taking a deep breath, I made a decision. "Alright, Somyansh," I said gently. "Let's find someone who can help. Do you remember what your Mama was wearing?"
He mumbled a description - a blue dress with flowers, a scarf tied around her hair. Armed with this information, I stood, scooping Somyansh into my arms, his small frame surprisingly light. "Hold on tight, Somyansh," I murmured. "We're going to find your Mama."
The airport suddenly seemed even more daunting, a labyrinth of rushing people and hurried announcements. Finally the flight arrived at the airport and crowd of people's occurred at there I hit on someone "sorry sir..." It was a man with mask, wearing cap and black outfit looking like he was waiting for someone, I ignored him and without caring I pushed on, fuelled by a growing sense of urgency. "Excuse me!" I called out, grabbing the attention of a security guard. "I found a lost child. He's separated from his mother."
