The Echoes of DestinySynopsis:
In a world where the touch of a hand can unveils the tapestry of fate, Alessandra 'Ale' bears the burden of foresight. With a simple touch, she glimpses the shadows of impending tragedy, a gift that has shaped her life into a relentless cycle of sacrifice. Bound by the compulsion to avert disaster, Ale has spent her days offering herself as a shield, swapping her own fate for those she touches, weaving a web of protection around her loved ones at the cost of her own well-being.
But when one man enters her life, one whose future remains shrouded from her sight, Ale's world is thrown into disarray. Unable to read his destiny, she finds herself drawn to his enigmatic presence, his touch offering respite from the constant barrage of foreseen misfortune. As their connection deepens, Ale begins to question everything she thought she knew about her gift and the purpose it serves.
As she unravels the mysteries surrounding this stranger, Ale discovers that he possesses an ability of his own-he is immune to her foresight. In his presence, the echoes of fate fall silent, leaving her vulnerable yet strangely liberated. But as their bond strengthens, Ale realizes that his presence is not just happenstance; he is her protector, a guardian sent to shield her from the burdens she has carried alone for so long.
Caught between the impulse to protect and the desire to be protected, Ale must confront the true nature of her gift and the sacrifices she has made in the name of fate. Together, she and her protector embark on a journey to uncover the secrets of their intertwined destinies, forging a path where the echoes of the future no longer dictate their every move, but instead, they embrace the uncertainty of the unknown, guided by the unbreakable bond of love and sacrifice.
"What was that, Ale?" Toby closed the door behind him as soon as Ale entered the apartment room. She remained quiet, knowing the consequences of sharing the information about the stairs with their neighbor.
"She doesn't know..." Ale placed her handbag on a nearby chair. "That she's pregnant, Toby. In my vision, I saw her break down in the hospital after losing her baby, again. I won't let that happen."
Ale's voice was husky as it echoed inside the empty room. She turned to look at the luggage she had been dragging around. "But still-" Toby was about to speak.
"Breaking a bone won't kill me. It won't cost another life," Ale interrupted.
Toby's jaw tightened, his concern and frustration evident on his face. Ale appeared lost in thought, her silence speaking volumes as she surveyed the room.
"I'm going insane," Toby muttered in anger as he left Ale in the main room and began to roam around the apartment.
Ale approached him in the room, coming closer to where he stood facing the window with arms crossed. "Hey Tobias, I'll be fine, I promise."
"You always told me about breaking bones, all bruises were something not a big deal for you, while I have to witness all of that," he said softly, his face turning to Ale who leaned against the wall. "Can we take a break, just ignore them, get along with the fate that's already written for them? We barely even know the people you're saving."
"It will be the last time, okay?" Softly, Ale touched Toby's back, assuring him that she's going to be fine.
