[Sandara's POV]

5:30 PM. I checked my wristwatch while driving the luxury car. I had told my boss I wasn't taking clients today, yet he still sent me the location through my friend where I had to pick up the drunk man. After finishing work at the cafe, I still had other jobs to do – driving. Yeah, I'm a lady driver.

I had to focus on driving while thinking about this guy, Kwon Jiyong, the main client. He wouldn't be happy that I was late to pick him up; he'd stare at me with his eagle-sharp gaze and complain about his wasted time. It had only been two days and one night, and yet I already felt like I knew him inside out.

"Don't go~" the drunk man sang from the back seat. How could someone be this drunk at this time of day? The sun was still shining bright.

Anyway, I still didn't get it. Why had he come to my cafe when he'd told me he was busy? Plus, this guy was my boss's friend. Wasn't Seoul too small for such coincidences? These thoughts bothered me a lot. I wanted my job to remain a secret between us, but it was impossible that Lee Seungri, the flirty boss, didn't know I worked for him, albeit under different circumstances initially.

"Bad girl!!" he shouted from behind my seat, startling me. Fortunately, I didn't stomp on the brakes. "Bad girl! She's leaving me just like that!"

"Ah, right. She must be a bad girl," I replied, trying to keep the conversation going while keeping my eyes on the road. I had no idea what he was talking about, but talking with my customers was usually fun, especially when they were drunk like this.

"No! She's not just leaving me like that. She even took all my money with her!" I felt bad for him. He must have lost all trust in women after this. "I don't want to love her anymore, but it hurts whenever I try to stop."

"How much money did she take from you, sir?" I couldn't help but ask, my curiosity piqued.

"3000 won, but you knowwwwwwrrr! She took something more precious than money – she took my feelings with her." I almost laughed, but I remembered how heartbroken this guy behind me must be.

"Oh, sir, I'm so sorry about that. Fortunately, we're here now. This is your house." I held back my laughter as I saw him crying again.

He waved his hand towards me. "You can laugh at me now, agashi, but you'll feel it later – how miserable it is when someone takes your heart with them. It's like they're away, but they keep consuming you." I chuckled and nodded as I helped him out of the car and walked him to the house where an old lady was waiting at the gate. I guessed she was his mother or someone close, given the worried expression on her face as she watched him arrive in such a state.

"You better not cause any trouble, sir. Stop drinking and stop making her sad," I whispered as I helped him through the gate.

I decided to still go to his place, even though I was much later than I promised. It was 9 PM when I finally arrived at the penthouse. The security sent me up to the top floor, and as I waited inside the elevator, my mind raced, thinking of how to respond to the grumpy Kwon. I took a deep breath as I saw the digital number almost reach the top floor.

The ding made my shoulders jolt a little, and then the doors opened. I peeked inside before stepping out of the elevator, and there he was – Kwon Jiyong, looking at me as if I were a sinner. Well, I was late, but I had my reasons.

"You're late," he said, his tone sending shivers down my spine.

"I-I..."

"I don't think you're serious about this, Sandara Park." No, don't say that. I was serious; I needed this job and the money.

"I'm sorry, Kwon Jiyong, there was a drunk—"

"Do you still want to work with me?" He interrupted, placing the book on the table.
