We stayed up way too late watching movies. When it came time to get up the next morning, I had to drag myself from bed. Of course, it could also be because of the two rounds Tae and I had when we got home. After I am dressed and ready to go, I go to the kitchen and make some tea. While it is cooling, I place my laptop in my bag and make sure I have everything.
"Mmm, I think you need to retire and stay in bed with me full-time."
I smile. His chin is resting on my shoulder and his arms are around my waist.
"Me too but I rather like having a house and food."
"You know that I make more than enough to take care of us."
I turn in his arms and place my around his neck.
"I know but I like teaching."
"I know, baby."
He lets me go and I finish making my tea. Putting my bag on my shoulder, I grab my keys.
"Don't forget, I will be late. I have my session tonight."
"Okay, baby."
He comes and gives me a kiss and I head to the school. I have been teaching for about 6 years. Like any job, it has its days when I hate it but for the most part, I love it. Today is one of those iffy days. Pretty sure that my first block was all asleep. My second block kept trying to get me off topic and my fourth block was just out of control. When the bell rings, I start packing my stuff up. April pokes her head into my room as I am turning my lights off.
"I heard a secret."
"Oh, yeah?"
"I heard that a certain husband came home."
I smile. "Yeah."
"So, how are things?"
"They are good."
"Guess it's a good thing I didn't kill him then."
I giggle at her now but at the time, I thought she was really going to do it.
3 Months ago
The morning after Tae left
"Liv?"
I groan, rolling over and burying myself in the covers more. The voice gets closer.
"Liv?"
She doesn't say anything else, but I feel the bed dip and then the covers are lifted. She climbs in and lays beside me facing me.
"Jimin called me." She says.
"What did he tell me?"
"All he said was that you needed me."
"Tae left." I whisper.
She sits up and throws the covers off making me squint at the brightness.
"He WHAT?"
"Well, I mean I kicked him out."
She looks at me sadly.
"Why Liv? That man loves you more than anyone has ever loved someone."
"He...he..."
I can't get it out. It took me a full five minutes to calm down before relaying the fight the night before to her. When I am done talking she sits there quietly.
"I'm going to rip his balls off and feed them to him." She seethes.
"Calm down, April. I mean, after all, he is right."
