The Polar Tang. In half, sinking to the bottom of the Grand Line.
The crew. Status unknown, presumed captured by Blackbeard and his crew.
The mink. Alive. Stranded on an uncharted island somewhere in the New World of the Grand Line.
The captain. Missing. Last known status was alive and stranded on an uncharted island with the mink.

Bepo, the polar bear mink navigator of the former Heart Pirates last saw his captain at a crossroads. Bepo had taken the rightmost path in search of food and fresh water, his captain had taken the leftmost path in search of shelter. They both had agreed to meet back at the beach where they first landed. By Bepo's reckoning, this island wasn't on any map. It seemingly appeared where no island should have been.
The maps could have been wrong, it wouldn't be the first time the World Government covered something up. However, it is much easier to purge the existence of an island by simply removing the island from the earth rather than a map. This was a very large island as far as he could tell and not easily missed from sea; if it were, they wouldn't have been able to make landfall right as Bepo's Sulong form wore off. It was a lucky break, the first bit of luck they'd had since leaving Wano.
All three crews that had met in Sabaody two years ago formed a tentative alliance in Wano. All three crews shared the spoils and parted ways on three different paths. The Heart Pirates were just massively unlucky that their chosen path took them right to Blackbeard. Had it not been for Tony Tony Chopper's medicine ball that granted Bepo use of his Sulong form outside of its normal parameters, his captain would have died and his devil fruit would have gone to Blackbeard or one of his Ten Titanic Commanders.
Bepo shivered at the thought. Without even realizing it, the Strawhat Pirates saved his captain's life. Bepo has been holding out a hope that he'd get to see them again and thank them. For now, he's holding out hope that he'll find his captain. The polar bear mink had managed to find fresh water in the form of a pool at the base of a rocky incline. Given a steady enough rainfall, water could form a miniature waterfall into the pool from the rocks, but for now it was just a pool of unknown depth offering respite from dehydration. He had met up at the rendezvous point but the captain was nowhere to be seen.
This wasn't like him. He's far more punctual than this. After waiting for fifteen minutes the navigator took it upon himself to try his captain's path in an effort to find him. He eventually found a clearing and Kikoku, his captain's sword. No sign of the captain though. There were footsteps in the earth that were clearly his captain's, but no signs of anyone else. Could he have sensed danger and shambled himself out of harm's way? Wouldn't he have gone back to the beach? Why would he use shambles and leave behind his weapon?
Sitting down by Kikoku in defeat, Bepo wept into the night. All that fighting and running and yet he still managed to lose the one person he was trying not to lose, his best friend and captain, Trafalgar D. Water Law.
[A/N]: I know this is wickedly short, but I wanted to get something posted to at least get the ball rolling. This was supposed to be chapter one but now it's basically a prologue given how damn short it turned out to be. Next update will actually feature Law.
