Nightmarish Smiles|If Y/n and Mario met the Smiling Critters

Chapter 1 - Y/n Meets the Smiling Critters

After that scary encounter with the Smiling Critters, Y/n slowly regained consciousness after getting a dose from the sleeping gas from CatNap and he found himself in a whole new world instead of the living room of Mario's house.

Y/n: Whoa...what is this place?

Y/n got up and walked around in the field as he gazed upon the grassy fields he ended up in and heard something nearby as he looked through a couple of bushes to see none other than the Smiling Critters themselves and they are playing around while some of them are having a picnic lunch as we see a pink pig named PickyPiggy eating an apple while a red bear named Bobby Bearhug just ate a submarine sandwich in one bite.

Then we see a yellow chicken named KickinChicken playing tag with a green bunny named Hoppy Hopscotch and they seemed to be having fun on a beautiful day like this.

KickinChicken: I'm gonna get ya! I'm gonna get ya!

Hoppy Hopscotch: No, you're not! (Laughs)

Y/n: Wow. I can't believe it. They're actually real. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness something like this.

Then one of them, an orange dog by the name of DogDay saw Y/n looking through the bushes as he wants to say hi to him and introduce him and his friends to him.

DogDay: Oh, hello there. Are you new here?

Y/n: Um...yeah, I guess so. I just woke up and found myself in the middle of this field.

DogDay: I see. Well, we don't get to see new people a whole lot, but it's nice to see some new faces like you. My name's DogDay. What's your name?

Y/n: My name is Y/n L/n. Nice to meet you all.

DogDay: Nice to meet you too, Y/n. These are my friends, Bubba Bubbaphant, Bobby Bearhug, Hoppy Hopscotch, CraftyCorn, PickyPiggy, KickinChicken, and CatNap.

Y/n: Those are some nice names. (Sees CatNap just laying down under a nearby tree in the shade, sleeping like a log) Is he okay?

DogDay: Oh, don't worry about CatNap. He's always like to take naps and we mean a lot of naps. But he's happy to meet new people such as yourself and you're gonna have a great time here as the whole world is your litterbox.

Y/n: Right....(Sees CraftyCorn all sad) What's wrong, CraftyCorn? You look very sad today on a beautiful day like this.

Bubba Bubbaphant: Yeah, why so blue?

CraftyCorn: I wanted to pick some pretty flowers, but there doesn't seem to be any around here. I haven't seen a single one all day.

Y/n: Hmmm...you do make a good point, Crafty. There doesn't seem to be any flowers anywhere at all. I think we should find a place where they have the flowers that CraftyCorn would love to pick to make her happy again. But where can we find the perfect place to go look for flowers?

Bubba Bubbaphant: Hmmm....(Lightbulb) I know! What if we go inside the forest? There has to be some flowers growing over there.

Bubba then pointed out to the forest he mentioned that appeared to be all dark and gloomy that doesn't look like a very safe place to go into to find some flowers, which made Y/n feel a bit suspicious on what kind of dark and scary things that could be lurking in that forest.

Y/n: (Mayor Knuckles Voice) I don't know...(Normal Voice) I'm not sure that's really a safe place to go look for flowers.

DogDay: What do you mean by that?

Y/n: I don't know, maybe because there's a monster living in those woods.

DogDay: A monster?!

The Smiling Critters: Monster?!

KickinChicken: No way! That can't be true, can it?

Then Y/n got an idea on how to explain the Smiling Critters about this "monster" that might be living in those woods.

Y/n: I thought you guys knew. (Turns to Bubba Bubbaphant) Hey, Bubba? You're smart, right?

Bubba Bubbaphant: Yeah, why?

Y/n: Have you met anyone who just as smart as you?

Then Bubba Bubbaphant began to think of a moment that lasted a minute or two before he finally spoke back to Y/n.

Bubba Bubbaphant: If there's really a monster in the forest, then what kind of monster is it?

Y/n: Well...you didn't hear this from me, but...(Kneels down and points to the ground) Deep in the Earth's core...(Appeared behind some bushes and acted like a sneaky spy) In a top secret lab...(Then acts like he's a crazy mad scientist) A mad scientist...(Then twists his arms and wiggles his fingers like a spider) Conducting cross-breeding experiments!

CraftyCorn: (Scared) Oh my!

Bobby Bearhug: Oh Dear!

KickinChicken: Freaky!

Bubba Bubbaphant: Do tell!

Y/n: By combining a terrifying boy, with a sweet lizard! Thus creating...

He then points the Critters to look at the other direction where they see a cloud of smoke appear and they see Y/n wearing a Magikoopa outfit to pose as the monster that he's talking about.

Y/n: An evil Koopa Wizard!

Smiling Critters: (Gasps in Shock)

Y/n: That's right. This evil wizard haunts those very woods, as he placed a curse on that forest after everyone said his name wrong too many times for his called Wizard-Himer and anyone who enters those woods, never comes back alive.

Y/n then continues his scary story about the evil wizard as he is really setting the mood onto the Smiling Critters.

Y/n: This is an act of vengeance towards the people who made fun of him and even now, the evil seed of what they have done, germinates within him.

Then as he just finished his sentence, Hoppy Hopscotch poked him from behind, causing him to scream a bit as Hoppy giggled that she tagged Y/n before hopping away happily.

Hoppy Hopscotch: Tag you're it! (Giggles)

Y/n then looked at the Smiling Critters for a moment before tagging Bobby Bearhug before running off, laughing.

Y/n: Tag you're it! (Laughs)

Then Bobby tagged PickyPiggy, then she tagged DogDay, then he tagged Bubba and so on as Y/n and the Smiling Critters started playing around with some joyful music playing the background before they all went into the forest, not even noticing that they were being watched and followed by a couple of mysterious shadowy figures in the darkness within these woods.

Eventually, the Smiling Critters are all having a lot of fun....a little bit too much fun to be exact as they are slowly becoming a bit crazy, much to Y/n's confusion and concern with them going all coo-coo crazy when they just entered these woods.

Firstly, CraftyCorn managed to find some pretty flowers and started picking some before Flowey the Flower from Undertale came up from the ground and CraftyCorn slammed her hoof on the poor flower, crushing him to death. Then PickyPiggy started eating a bunch of apples she picked, and she started shoving them into her mouth before eating a pinecone from the ground and seeing Hoppy Hopscotch getting mud all over her and rubbing it on her face.

Y/n is starting to get scared by what he is seeing right now as the Smiling Critters started laugh like a bunch of lunatics with Bubba Bubbaphant's body getting walked on by an army of ants and KickinChicken running around like an idiot as they all started laughing crazy like how it happened in that video that Y/n watched last night before the Smiling Critters suddenly appeared in the living room and put Y/n to sleep with the red colored smoke.

This is all coming back to Y/n as he is surrounded by the Smiling Critters that are laughing at him before CatNap walked up to him and unleashed his red smoke onto Y/n as he collapsed on the ground unconscious with the Smiling Critters laughing all the way until Y/n blacked out....

But he can also hear a very familiar voice, but it sounded a bit off as it's the last thing Y/n have heard before he went to sleep.
