A/N: Hey guys! I know it's been a while, and I wanted to apologize for keeping you waiting for so long, I got hit by a bus and wasn't able to type for a while there. I made this chapter extra long for you <3

**********

The remainder of summer passed by in moments. My days were spent watching house elves move my things from my home to Malfoy Manor. My parents, loving as ever, spent their days scheming with my new in-laws. I don't know what they talked about all that time, but I didn't care. My mind's eye was focused on the fact that I was now married. I had a husband. I was someone's wife. 16 years old and married. The idea was so foreign to me. I could see in Draco's eyes that it was to him too. My husband, Draco. Draco and Y/N Malfoy. Married. Yuck. Whatever was going through his mind, Draco spent most of his time avoiding me, which I welcomed, seeing as I was also avoiding him. Not facing each other meant not facing reality, and that was something both of us were wordlessly on board with.

We departed for Hogwarts when the leaves began to change colors and the wind brought the beginnings of a chill. Draco and I parted as soon as we boarded the train and were out of view from our parents. We had been forced to go shopping together for the upcoming year, and we were both eager to leave the other's presence. It was a tense experience, with us not speaking and our parents watching over our shoulders, lest we run away.

Going compartment to compartment in search of my friends, I thought about the events of the summer. I did not tell my friends what had transpired. My parents did not allow me the luxury of communicating with anyone who was not a pureblood, which none of my friends were. Still, I imagine they found out in some way or another. I dreaded what they had to say. Draco and his goons had been relentlessly bullying me and my friends for years. Them for not being purebloods, and me and one other for being "blood traitors" by hanging around him.

Eventually I found them stowed away in a compartment near the end of the train. My four closest friends, Abigail, Sophia, John, and Chloe. Abigail, Sophia, and John stopped their conversation to look at me when I opened the door. Chloe sat sleeping in the window seat.

"Is it true?" Abigail asked as I took my seat and saw Sophia shake Chloe awake.

I let out a sigh. "Yes, unfortunately."

I figured that if anyone had found out, it would have been Abigail. She was distantly related to the Malfoys in some way or another, and news like this would have gotten back to her. No doubt she had already told the others.

"It wasn't my choice," I explained. "My parents forced me to. I tried everything I could to get out of it, but no luck. Trust me, he's not thrilled about it either."

"I figured as much." Abigail responded.

I let out a sigh of relief. I knew she'd understand my predicament.

"Is there anything we can do about it? As far as school goes, I mean." Sophia offered.

"I don't know. I guess just avoid him best we can. And-" I paused, thinking about all the kids at Hogwarts, knowing how rumors would spread. "-don't tell anyone about it. I know its probably going to get out there eventually, but I want to hold that off for as long as possible. I don't want anyone to start making up rumors, or worse, have people think that I actually like him."

I made a vomiting sound. That got a grim laugh out of them.

"But what if he says something?" Abigail asked.

I thought about it for a second. About how after the wedding, he practically turned heel and ran anytime he saw me around the manor.

"I don't think he'll be a problem."
