The creaking of the bed frame as Eliza's movement caught Dan's attention, breaking the silence of the morning. Eliza's soft breathing and the rustling of the sheets filled the room, intermingled with the faint sound of a car passing by outside. Dan could hear the faint creak of the bed as he shifted his weight. He is a morning person, so he was already awake at 7, Eliza usually sleeps another hour. This is something that is different about them, but for a lot of stuff they are and act the same. Perhaps this is why their friendship works so effortlessly.

They had been good friends for three years now, always there for each other through tough times. But it wasn't until the past year that they truly became best friends. So when Eliza asked Dan to go on a trip with her, he immediately agreed without any hesitation.

For quite some time, both Dan and Eliza had longed to take a trip without their parents, but they were too afraid to make it happen. Finally, Eliza suggested that they do it together. This presented the perfect opportunity for the best friends to deepen their bond and get to know each other even more intimately.

They decided to take a trip far away from home and immerse themselves in nature. They settled on a small city with a comfortable hotel, not too extravagant but perfect for two young adults. They planned to go hiking and explore some historical sites in the area. After several hours of driving, they finally arrived at their hotel late last night.

In the tranquility of the outdoors, they drifted off into a restful sleep. However, as the morning sun broke through the peaceful scenery, Dan found himself wide awake. He listened to the rhythm of his and Eliza's breathing, along with the gentle sounds of the surrounding forest, for what felt like an eternity before finally deciding to take a refreshing shower in preparation for their first day of adventuring.

Dan rose from his bed, causing Eliza's eyes to flutter open slowly. "Morning," she mumbled, her voice still heavy with sleep.

"Hey there, sleeping beauty," Dan playfully teased. "I'm going to hop in the shower, so you can take your time waking up."

Eliza simply gave him a thumbs-up before burying her head back into her pillow. It was the start of the first day of their trip together as friends.
