Rohit pov:
Again, one more world cup one more time Rohit gives his everything, one more time he disappointed himself, the team, his teammates, everyone. He was crying, he couldn't control, he looked at Virat, it broke him more this time Virat gave his everything to that one trophy. Why did it have to be so precious to him, that damn trophy maybe we did deserve it more that's why he has it and he dosent.
Ritika:
You can't cry, you gotta stay strong he needs you today, he needs you so much.
She stood there trying to control her tears staying strong for the man she loved.
Everyone knew and adored Virat and Anushka's love. It was nice they were expressive about it contrary to what the people of their country belived was true. But what about the two shy idiots in love they never really showed how much they've gone through they believed that people had to face difficulties in life, everyone does they just couldn't express theirs.
Everyone saw the best odi player asking his wife for some comfort.
What they did not see was a broken captain of Indian team the dressing room crying, when she entered her brown eyes bringing a sense of comfort to his lost self, she sat down beside him softly grabbing his hand in her small ones as she kept her head on his chest hearing her strong husband sniffling with red eyes. This reminded her of the time when he was not selected in world cup 2011 squad, the same a Rohit , a bit younger one big red eyes tried to calm down. As of what people knew they got together, but what people didn't know was that the 24 year old ritika also loved him the she does now she just couldn't say it, she never really said it just like a mother does she showed how much she cared from her actions.
"Ro"

"You also deserved it"
Rohit in reflex widened his eyes looking at her.
"How did you-"
"I do know ro, I do not care what you achive or what you don't when it come to my love for you it will never change"
Nothing changed to Rohit everything didn't start making sense suddenly, it didn't make the world brighter. It just made him confident enough to face whatever the future was to bring, Ritika will be by his side. He might not be the world's best captain, he might not be the best cricketer, she loved him, it suddenly made him cry more. He loved her more than words could describe and we realise the best things at the worst times.
"I love you ritsy" he confessed his voice heavy with emotion, but ritika knew it meant so much more.
A few days later
Ro had definitely healed he felt better as he was spending time with his family, he recently went to meet his mother which was one of things that made him very happy. She was also spending time with Sammy but she kinda knew her dada was sad so she found diffrent ways to cheer him up, which made him cry again- geez he's been crying a lot. "Ro, pack your bags we're on a vacation"
But-
One glare from her and he went to pack.
"Ritika"
"Yes ro"
"You know I love you right ?"
Ritika squinted her eyes at him
"What help do you need"
"Please help me pack"
He said giving his best puppy dog eyes .
She had never really denied him anything of that sort, 11 years of them being together but she always melted with those big wide curious eyes. The ones that love her.
But had ro plans of packing, he could do that. He just wanted to spend time with her, he hadn't really stopped thinking about that day, but he did feel a bit optimistic about what was to come.
"Ritsy, come fast "
Rohit being the sleep loving person that he is plans to spend the rest of the day like that with ritsy and finally tell her about the mi fiasco.
"Ro- " she knew he needed to pack but what she saw melted her heart.
The skipper of the Indian team, one of the best openers the world has seen was was cuddled up in a huge blanket and looking at her.
"Ritsy come na"
"Yes my dear ro" she walked up to him and got in the covers hugging him snuggling into the big baby she had.
"Ritsy, I'm not MI captain anymore, it Hardik"
Ritika froze for a momen, wait what but they didn't ask him- they sacked him.
She looked up to find him crying.
"You know I don't have a problem from not being a captain, it just that. They should've told me, I wouldn't object. I've given everything to that franchise. I-"
Ritika engulfed him in a bear hug. Nothing was fine right now but things will heal, she stay with him, support him. And they did need to go on a vacation for some time to relax.
