I was so anxious, it was the first appointment that my mom was not with me. I was with my husband, he tried to console me but instead he just snapped for crying. We called upon my Cousin Anu to accompany us. Sundar didn't have the heart or gut to accompany me to the doctor's room. He always made excuses stating that he would get annoyed and irritated if something was bad for the baby. ( I always wondered if he ever considered that I am the first person gonna get affected if anything is not good. He never tried to cheer me up).
Fine, so Anu and myself got into the room. A scan was taken and baby movements were monitored. It was my 36th week. The Dr asked me if I have been eating good. She herself concluded i am trying my best to by looking at my weight gain. So I was told to stay at hospital and take 2 dosage of a steroid that helps in baby's lung development. And to take NST thrice a day. I was sceptical to stay at the hospital. But the Dr convinced me to stay so that they could induce and deliver the baby at 37th week.
I called my mom, thank God she hasn't been to the bus yet. She was at krish's PTM. I called her and asked her if she could go attend the puja and return the same day. I was worried sick, one for the baby and the other for my MIL. My mind started wavering I couldn't handle with my MIL being in the same room when I am already stressed out for the safety of my child. Thankfully My mom skipped the puja asking Krish to attend.
I went home that day and got admitted by evening. We had 2 change of rooms, as my mom did not like the colour of bedsheets. I was asked to monitor the baby movements. All my NSTs were good. Once the steroid is injected my sugar level hiked, that was said to be normal. After 3 days my blood sugar level dropped down to normal. I was ready for my induction.
