A/N: Well, here it is folks. The final chapter of "Only You". I hope you enjoy it!

Epilogue

"...Regina and Emma lived for the next eighty years, under the names Roni and Emily Hart, running Roni's bar until the very end. They eventually created a safe haven and mentoring service for Fledglings that have been abandoned by their Sires, teaching them the world of being a Vampire and helping them until they could stand on their own. They mentored hundreds of Fledglings over the years, and because of their tireless efforts to help others, they were invited to join the Vampiric Counsel, an honor they respectfully declined. They prefer to spend time in Seattle, living the quiet and peaceful life they always dreamed of. Unfortunately, when the final uprising of Vampires began, Roni's bar was among the first attacked during the battles, as it was a well-known safe haven for Vampires who did not wish to engage in the violence. It burned to the ground, along with close to fifty innocent Vampires who were seeking safety from hunter attacks," the young woman said to her two seatmates on the flight to Boston.

"Did they ever figure out why Regina was reborn as a Human and then didn't age all that time?" the blonde woman who was sitting by the window asked, both her seatmates engrossed in her story.

"No. It is theorized that they were true Soulmates, and their eternal bond was what kept them tethered to this world and to each other. Which would explain why neither of them could kill themselves while they were apart," the woman answered.

"So, what happened to them?" the brunette sitting in the middle asked.

"That's where things get fuzzy. According to the official Vampire records, Regina Mills and Emma Swan were dead, Regina Mills a victim of the nightshade poisoning and Emma Swan died in the fire in the cabin in Storybrooke. As for Roni and Emily Hart, they were officially marked as deceased, dying in the fire of Roni's bar. But that has never been proven. Some say they saw them turn to ash in the fire, while other eyewitnesses claimed they saw the couple run off shortly after the fire was set, faking their death and moving to Canada," the woman answered.

"What do you think happened to them?" the brunette asked.

"Me personally? I believe in the third theory. I believe they did die in the fire, but woke the following day and rose out of the ashes, like a phoenix, but this time as Humans, just as Regina did over a hundred years earlier. I believe their Soulmate bond that allowed Regina a second chance as a Human and the same bond that kept them from dying until they were reunited gave them a second chance at life. I believe they were reborn as Humans after the fire and are off somewhere, living out the remainder of their Human lives together."

"How romantic," the blonde woman said, holding back a small sniffle.

"How come you know so much about them?" the brunette asked.

"Alice 'Tilly' Jones, the close family friend and colleague to theirs, was my great-grandmother. She unfortunately passed when I was in high school," the woman explained.

"We're so sorry for your loss," the brunette seatmate said, her voice sounding very sympathetic.

"Thank you. Before she died, she would tell me stories of the decades she spent working with them. She said in the entire time she worked for them, she never felt like an employee. She felt like she was a partner. A friend. She died shortly after the rebellion was over, after Regina and Emma were declared dead. The day after her funeral, I returned to her grave and found a sandwich wrapped in tinfoil on her gravestone. Someone had left an orange marmalade sandwich on her grave, my great-grandmother's favorite sandwich. I still believe that was them, saying their final goodbye to their old friend. I went on to study Vampire history in college. Since I grew up hearing the stories from my great-grandmother, I decided to write my dissertation on the couple. I'm actually flying to Boston to promote my new book about them," the woman answered, very proud of herself.

"We'll have to pick up a copy of it," the brunette said, just as the pilot announced they were making their final descent into Logan International Airport in Boston.

"Just give me your name and address, and I'll send you a signed copy as soon as I get home," the woman said, eagerly receiving the information from her seatmates. "I've been chewing your ears off the whole flight and I haven't asked about you. What brings you both to Boston?"

"We're on our honeymoon, actually," the blonde answered.

"Congratulations to both of you!" the woman exclaimed. "How long have you been together?"

"We've been together for what feels like an eternity," the brunette said, turning toward her wife as they shared a quiet chuckle, clearly an inside joke between the couple. "But we never had a chance to take a proper honeymoon. So we're going to spend a few days here in Boston, since we met here while we were both living in Boston a million years ago. Then we're going to spend a week in Hawaii, since we both have always wanted to go."

A few minutes later, the plane landed and they all began to disembark. The couple followed the crowd to baggage claim, waving at their seatmate from across the room, wishing her a silent good luck on her book. Grabbing their suitcases off the belt, they made their way outside toward the taxi stand, getting in line to wait for their turn. As they waited, the clouds parted, allowing the sun to shine down, warming their skin.

They closed their eyes and turned their faces toward the sun, basking in the warmth against their skin as they slowly crept closer to the front.

"What do you think about burgers for dinner tonight?" the brunette asked as she loaded their suitcases into the trunk of the taxi.

"Sure, just as long as you're not cooking them." The blonde laughed, handing the next suitcase to her wife.

"HEY! I'm getting better," the brunette exclaimed, shutting the trunk, following her wife to the side of the car.

"Yes, you definitely have. It was rough at first, you have to admit," the blonde said, climbing into the taxi.

"Yes, that is true. But give me some credit here, I didn't have to cook for a very long time. I'm still a little rusty." The brunette laughed, climbing in next to her wife and closing the door behind her.

"Where to, ladies?" the driver asked through the plexiglass partition.

" 84 Beacon Street, please," the brunette answered.

"That old Vampire bar?" the driver asked, confusion in his voice. "Why would you want to go to that old place?"

"Old memories." The brunette smiled, looking over at her wife. She leaned back against the seat as the car pulled away from the curb.

"Besides, there's only one thing in this world that I need, and it's not cheeseburgers," the blonde said, continuing their conversation.

"Not even bacon cheeseburgers?" the brunette asked, a smirk falling across her face.

"Not even bacon cheeseburgers," the blonde answered, reaching for her wife's hand.

"Oh really? Do tell, what is the only thing you need?" the brunette asked.

"Only you."
