NECKLACE OF CHARLES III

AFTER A FEW HOURS 

President of government : your majesties, royal highnesses, ladies and gentlemen, i would like to wish her royal highness the Princess of Asturias a happy birthday, today her royal highness will take an important step in her life, in the past month she swore on the spanish flag, she is taking a course military and today she was sworn in by the spanish constitution as crown princess to the spanish throne, from today her highness the Princess of Asturias will be able to replace his majesty the King in some official commitments, count highness on loyalty, the respect and affection of the government

I: do we seriously have to listen to this guy who, as we all know, is anti-monarchist and who reiterates it in everything he does?

Felipe: yeah, i'm not happy about it either, honey but as president of the government we couldn't do otherwise

President government: the time has come for his majesty the King to hand over the necklace of Charles III to her royal highness the Princess of Asturias Doña leonor de borbon y ortiz

President: already in 2015 when the princess of asturias had turned 10 years old, his majesty the king had given her the order of the golden fleece, we continue with the imposition of the necklace of Charles III

Felipe:  what a beautiful curtsy, honey i am so proud of you 

I: thank you dad 

President: now we leave the word to her royal highness the Princess of Asturias

I: majesties , authorities, ladies and gentlemen, i want to thank the President of the government and the ministers for offering me the Necklacer of the Order of Charles III, a distinction so linked to the service of the state and of our parliamentary monarchy, from today i incorporate your motto virtue and merit into my status as Princess of Asturias and heir to the crown, thanks also to you, Madam President of the congress of deputies and Mr President of the senate, for granting me the medals of the chambers that unite me, from this transcendent day, to the institutions that represent the spanish people, holders of national sovereignty. I have sworn to faithfully carry out my duties, to support and enforce the constitution and laws, to respect the rights of citizens and autonomous communities, as well as loyalty to the King, i have solemnly, formally and publicly committed myself to respecting our democratic principles and our constitutional values, which i fully assume and have assumed a great responsibility towards spain before the general courts, which i hope to reciprocate with the utmost dignity and with the best example, i have sworn an oath of loyalty to the King, not only to his person, but also to what the crown symbolizes and represents: the unity and permanence of spain.

I: ''You will be permanently guided by the constitution, respecting and observing it, you will serve spain with humility and awareness of your institutional position'', are the words that my father the king said to me when he handed me the order of the golden fleece, with this spirit and with a great sense of duty i will conduct my actions in all areas of my life, always taking into account the general interests of our nation; i will observe behaviors that deserve the recognition and appreciation of citizens; and i will fulfill my obligations with total dedication, always seeking to grow as a person with the love and support of my family. From today i own myself  to all the Spaniards, who i will serve at all times with respect and loyalty, there is no greater pride, on this very important day that i will always remember with emotion, i ask you to trust me, since i have placed all my trust in our future, in the future of spain. Thank you.
