As the afternoon goes on and the sun starts to set, my eyelids start to droop a bit as my tiredness tries to take me, but I refuse to give in. The last thing I wanted to do was sleep. "You can sleep. It'll be alright. I'll be right here to make sure nothing happens." Chara says, catching me off guard as I fully open my eyes again. "I'm fine. I'm not tired at all." I respond, smiling a bit. "You really should, though. It's not healthy not to sleep. Besides, you can't just not sleep forever. I'll be right by your side, so you have nothing to worry about." Chara says, leaning her head on my shoulder. I sigh, knowing I wouldn't be able to win that argument. "Fine. You win." I say, giving up as I close my eyes.

Once more, I awaken on the cold, hard familiar floor of the entrance to the ruins. I expected it. I'd love to say I had a plan, but I really didn't. You'd think with it being my nightmare, that I'd have more power over things, but I didn't.
"Funny thing is, this isn't your dream." The same, demonic, voice of corrupted Chara came from behind me as I got to my feet. I turned around, and to my surprise, I wasn't immediately stabbed. "Oh, don't worry, I'm not here to kill you, yet. I'm here to deliver a message." She responds to my thoughts. The black substance was even worse than before. It ran down from her eyes and the corners of her mouth. "What message? From who? What is this, if it's not a nightmare?" I ask quickly, hoping for an answer before I'm inevitably killed. I tried to take a few steps back, but like I thought, I couldn't move again. It was like I was looped in some sort of sick time loop.
"Close, but, alas, wrong." She giggles menacingly, taking a step forward. "So, she told you about the RESETs, yes? Then you can think of this as a failed RESET. I simply pull your consciousness from your sleep to overwrite this timeline's you. There's so much DT to be harvested in these forgotten timelines. It'd be a shame to let it go to waste." She says, taking another few steps forward, stopping right in front of me.
"I still don't see what she likes so much about you. You're just pathetic. You can't fight. You've hardly got friends, especially after burning your bridges with the pretty little pacifist and the comedian." She continues, summoning a knife in one hand. Before I could question anything, she stabbed me right in the throat before I even had time to flinch, and I'm left grasping at the knife as my vision fades quickly. "Oh, but before you go, I almost forgot the message. Return to the flowers, if you don't, well, I won't be responsible for what happens." 'Chara' giggles again, pulling the knife out.

I shoot up once more, startling Chara, who was still leaning on my shoulder. I rubbed my throat softly for a few seconds, taking deep, ragged breaths. Just like last night, there weren't any physical wounds, but my body still felt like it was damaged. It must have been because it was a magic knife.
"Are you alright?" Chara, the real Chara, asks, looking at me worried. "I.. I think so. It happened again. This time was different. I think 'she' is getting stronger. She said something about harvesting DT and pulling my conscience from here to another timeline. It's all too confusing..." I explain, holding my head in my hands. The sun was up, so I guess the corrupted Chara allowed me some solace.
"Well, it's alright now. You made it through the night." Chara says, reassuring me that everything was fine now. Except it wasn't. That message she gave me before I woke up proved everything wasn't. I had a feeling things weren't going to be alright for a while.

Some time later, Me and Chara stood at the entrance to the Underground. There was no other meaning to the message that made sense. I had shot Frisk a quick text message, but she would be a little bit, having to make up an excuse to get out of school, as it was only Thursday.
