FLORA WAS RIGHT. Her and Peter had become fast friends. He, Lily, and Marlene had given her the grand tour and helped her unpack. Well, Marlene and Lily helped.... Peter just went through her wardrobe and tried on things for fun. The two had quickly sparked up a joint as soon as they finished, opting to lay on Marlene's soft rug while she unpacked. Lily gave her cousin a quick hug, opting to unpack her things than get stoned.

"So, you're all in the music program too?" Flora asked, eyes glossed over as she stared at the ceiling.

"That's right, Florida." Peter giggled, taking a hit of the joint. It was comical, the soft slightly emo-looking boy was holding a large joint wrapped in Flora's pink rolling papers.

"Her name is Flora, Pete. Not Florida," Marlene laughed, plucking the joint from Peter's hands and taking a large hit. "And yes, love. We're all in the music program, 's why we're all friends. All the music students live in Gryffindor Hall," she explained.

"Ohhhh yes I remember now," Flora slowly laughed, "you're a guitarist and Peter's a pianist, right?" she asked, recalling what they'd said on the train.

Marlene came and laid down on the carpet with them, Peter immediately taking the joint from her. The two blondes were a comical sight, eyes bloodshot and arms splayed out on the ground. Flora let out a laugh at her new friends.

"'s right Ms. Flora, 'm classically trained. Reckon I'll be more famous than Walpurga Black," Pete quipped, a smile on his face that Flora could now see was his signature look.

"Who's that?" asked Flora.

Marlene winced at the question. Her eyes squinting as she thought of an answer.  "That's Sirius' mum, bloody talented pianist. She's a right cunt though, we don't talk about her. Remember Pete?" Marlene cut a small glare at her fried friend.

The room was in a slight stale mate, an awkward silence taking over. Flora didn't press the topic anymore, hell, she understood having a twat for a parent. Her own father spent the majority of her life being a massive prick to her and her mother.

Suddenly, the door to the girl's dorm was thrust open.

"Pete- holy shit," a male voice chuckled, it was Remus. He took in the sight before him, three teens laying in silence on a furry rug. The room was full of smoke, the open window not helping much, and his roommate was holding a pink joint in his large hand.

"It smells like Snoops fuckin house in here," Shutting the door behind him, Remus made his way into the room, bending down to steal the joint from Peter.

"Can't believe you're smokin' without me, mate," lips forming into an exaggerated pout, "'Sup, girls."

"Hey, Remus," the two girls said in a haunting unison. All four teens laughed at that.

Flora found she liked Remus; he was calm compared to Marlene and a lot more... well there than Pete. He was comfortable to be around, easily breaking the group from their previous awkward silence. The boy had begun to ramble about some book he was reading, it was rather endearing. Flora couldn't help but think he'd make a great teacher.

The four teens chatted, sparking up a second joint; though it wasn't pink this time around. Flora had learned that Marlene, Peter, and James had all grown up in the same suburb of London and were rather close childhood friends. Remus was from a neighborhood near Lily's, Mary living about twenty minutes up the road. Flora was surprised to learn how close everyone had lived to each other, a rather happy coincidence for the teens. Like Marlene, Remus was in the Strings part of their program, though he was much more proficient with a bass guitar than the electric. They were all in the same year, this being their last. Flora, Pete, and Remus seemed to have very similar tastes in music; Marlene had preferred slightly more folk than she'd expected.

"I woulda pegged you for a Pop lover, Flo," Marlene laughed.

"Don't get me wrong, I absolutely am. I mean Brittney and Destinys Child are my jam," She replied animatedly, eager to talk music with her new friends, "but I'll always be a bit partial to rock."

"Cheers to that," Remus grinned, holding up the joint in a mock toast. The three others laughed, raising invisible glasses in the air.

"And cheers to our new friend, Ms. Florida Evans."

"Cheers, Pete."
