Isadora Juliette Michaels let out a soft chuckle at her aunt's overprotective heart while weaving through the tight crowd of lost and confused first year students. "Yes, Aunt Meredith, I packed my toothbrush. I promise you I didn't leave anything behind. Besides, if I did, I'm sure your good friend, Farah, would help me." Aunt Meredith let out a small sigh, "it's headmistress Dowling remember? We've been over this multiple times now. You have to respect her title while you're there."The worrying aunt paced back and forth across her kitchen, stressing about her niece, "you know what, I think you should just come back. I can train you-." Izzie "Isadora" Michaels shook her head no, "Aunt Meredith, you and I both know I need this. I don't want another incident to happen, okay." The young silver blonde's aunt let out a sigh, knowing her niece was correct, "I know, I know, I'm just worried about you."
"There's nothing to be worried about," Izzie assured her aunt, setting down her duffle bag on top of her suitcase that she brought through the fairy portal earlier in the day. "I have all your friends here to help me if I need anything. I'm in good hands," Izzie continued on as she took a step back to avoid another big rush of first years traveling through the main quad.
The friends in question being none other than Farah Dowling, Saul Silva, and Ben Harvey. While Meredith Quinn was happy living in the first world without the use of magic, she wasn't born and raised there. Meredith grew up along side her best friend, Farah, before attending Alfea where she met the other two males, instantly becoming best friends. Some time after she graduated from Alfea, she decided she needed a change of scenery; moving to the first world to help raise her niece, Isadora, for her late sister and brother in law.
"But still, you never know-." Izzie stopped her aunt once more, trying to calm the older female down, "you have to trust that I will be okay." Meredith let out a small sigh, knowing she needed to but there was a lot of unknown pressure building up inside of her, "okay... okay... I want daily updates! Twice a day! No, wait three-."
"Aunt Meredith," Izzie chuckled again, shaking her head softly at her aunt's worrying, knowing it was coming from a good place, "I will text you whenever I get the chance. Let's not forget we both know you'll be asking Farah-."
"Headmistress Dowling," Meredith corrected her niece one more, wanting the teen to respect her best friend's title at the school. "Headmistress Dowling for updates on everything," Izzie changing her address of her new headmistress. Aunt Meredith decided to let Izzie go on and get settled before noting that she would call later that night to see how her first night was going. Once the call ended between the two, Izzie placed her phone in her back pocket before two male students rushed past her; knocking her backwards into her suitcase.
"Oh my God!" Terra, a first year Earth fairy, exclaimed in a petrified tone as the box of plants her father was holding had been knocked out of his hands by a flying body. Izzie let out a small groan as she laid on top of broken pots and plants, not seeing the two first years running straight towards her. "Please tell me I didn't crush something that's valuable to you," Izzie winced as she noticed the two strangers staring down at her with worried expressions. Izzie recognized the older male as Professor Harvey, remembering the pictures her aunt had shown her of her friends before leaving for Alfea.
"Um, just some plants," Terra smiled softly before offering to help the fallen teen up. "Thanks," Izzie returned the smile as the Earth fairy helped brush off any excess dirt that was leftover from the crash, "I am so sorry about crushing your plants. I promise I didn't mean to. I-."
"It's okay," Terra chuckled, knowing the girl didn't mean to, "really, it's okay." Izzie felt the light pressure being lifted from her shoulders, thankful that she bumped into someone who was kind and sweet versus someone who would have flipped out over the incident. "Is there anything I can do to help clean this up? I can get you new plants-."
