Falling Apart

I witnessed a bunch of trees, huddled together, and walked over. The girl was just giving me grief at this point. Why didn't I just let her fall? I couldn't answer myself. Loneliness? I just arrived here, wherever here is... Or was..... Or will be when our dead bodies are found at the bottom of the-no horrible thoughts! Keep calm! At this point, everything is easier said than done. Why couldn't I just be back where I was before this? I tried to remember what "back where I was before this" is, but my mind was a blank slate, and the chalk dust was swirling around me. I leaned against one of the trees.

I ran ahead, and started trying to climb into the trees, up to the very top. "STAY DOWN THERE!" I shouted, I didn't want him to do more than he probably already had done. I scrabbled to get up the tree, but each time I fell. One time, I was almost there, my fingertip a hair away from the tallest tree. And then I fell. I inspected myself, I had bruises all over me. It didn't hurt, not one bit. Not when I collapsed on the ground. Not when I started poking the worse looking one.

The girl was out of her mind. Trying to climb the trees, when there was obviously no way up. She couldn't possibly think she could make it, could she? I walk farther into the trees, and notice it's actually a forest of them. I should leave her behind now, while I can. Won't she just make it harder for me to survive here. I saw a scurry of leaves behind me, and knew she was trying to catch up. I broke into a head on run. No way she was going to catch me now! And yes way I was leaving her behind. But..... Now I have second thoughts. What made me change my mind? What were the thoughts? I honestly don't know anymore. But they were thoughts with an impact. And before I knew it I was slowing down waiting for her to catch up.

I couldn't believe the hog. "Hey!" I shouted, getting up faster than an injured person should and running like an injured person shouldn't. I wanted to leave him behind, but he saved me. And I would have to repay him eventually. "HEY!" I repeated, louder than before. We would definitely have to come up with some sort of communication soon, or else I won't be able to survive. When I caught up to him, I started leading the way. "Follow me." I commanded. There was nothing to talk about. And even if there was I don't think he would have heard me. I turned around, but he wasn't there. I was angered and started trudging back to where I saw him last. When I got there, I finally blew a gasket seeing that he was still there. "HOW DARE YOU???!!! WE'RE THE ONLY TWO HERE SO WE NEED TO PULL TOGETHER! NOW COME ON AND MAKE AN EFFORT!" I was even more enraged when he had no expression.
