(Jirou's POV)

"Um...excuse me?"

I turn around, a bit confused.

"Hi, are you Jirou?"

"Yes, sorry, do I know you?"

This girl recognized me, but I had no idea who she was. She looked about my age. My first thought was that she could be one of my classmates.

"Not personally." She says, "Sorry, I'm Kiko. Kaminari's ex-girlfriend."

My eyes kind of widened when she said that. Why would Kaminari's ex-girlfriend approach me? I started to worry a little.

"Oh..." Was all I could say.

"I recognized you, and just thought I'd say hi. Sorry, I don't mean to make things awkward, I'm just...How is he?"

Surprisingly, we talked for a while. She asked how he was. About our relationship. But she wasn't jealous or anything like that. She didn't even say much about when they were together.

From that conversation, I think she still cares about him. She still thinks about him. It's been almost a year since they broke up, but that's what it sounded like to me.

She said when they were together, when he talked about his high school days, he mentioned me a lot. That's how she recognized me.

It was strange...talking to my boyfriend's ex, you'd think I'd be uncomfortable around her, but she seemed like a nice person. Denki never said anything bad about her. To be honest, I felt kind of bad.

When we went our separate ways, she said something that stuck with me.

"I just want him to be happy. I know you're the best person for that."

I was left with a confused feeling, to say the least.

Anyhow, Denki comes back from his trip today. He said he'll be back late, but I'm gonna try to stay up over at his place to surprise him.

I texted him like I was going to sleep before he arrived, but I was really on my way to his place.

It was late, but I bought a slice of cake on the way there. I figured he might be a little hungry, and I wanted to give him another surprise.

His front door is in a small hallway before you enter the living room/kitchen area, so I waited around the corner until he got home.

When I heard him open the door and step inside, I was about to reveal myself until he caught me off guard.

"Kyo?" I hear him say.

I step out from behind the corner, "Aw, what? How'd you know?"

He chuckles, gesturing towards my shoes I left by the front door.

I sigh, "Well, surprise! Welcome home!"

He smiles and sets his bags down before welcoming me into his arms.

"I missed you." He says, squeezing me.

"I missed you, too. Did you have fun?"

"I did, but I just couldn't stop thinking about you."

He lifts me off of my feet, spinning us around before heading into the living room.

Still carrying me, he spots the container sitting on the kitchen counter.

"What's that?" He asks.

"It's for you. I thought you might be hungry when you got back."

Before even seeing what it is, he kisses me.

"Thank you." He smiles, "I have the best girlfriend in the world."

I run my hand over his hair before kissing his forehead, "The best deserves the best."

(Kaminari's POV)

Kyouka surprised me when I got back from my trip. She texted me that she was going to sleep, so when I saw her shoes by the door, I thought she could be asleep in my room.

I was really happy to see her. We ate cake together while I told her about the trip and showed her some more pictures and videos.

After talking for a while, I looked at the time. It was really late.

I look towards my room, and I think I saw that she brought a bag.

"Please tell me you're staying the night." I say.

She laughs softly, "If that's alright with you."

"Yes, please. I missed your cuddles." I chuckle, realizing something, "If you've been sleeping in my bed, does that mean it smells like you now?"

"Oh, yeah...sorry about that-"

"No, no. That's a good thing."

I don't know how to describe it, but Kyo has her own scent. I think we all do, but I know hers the best. It's probably just a mix of her shampoo and her laundry detergent, but it's familiar and comforting to me. I like it when she wears my hoodies or my t-shirts, because when she gives them back they still smell like her.

We stayed up super late, but I was starting to get sleepy, and I hadn't even washed up yet.

Kyo was getting sleepy, too; I could tell. When we were talking, she would nod off occasionally, but then shake her head and go back to listening.

When she did it again, I put my hand on the side of her head before she could nod off.

She looked at me, a bit startled.

"Sorry." I chuckle, "Are you tired?"

"Just a little bit." She says.

"Well, you can go to bed if you want to. I still have to shower, but I'll meet you there when I'm done."

She nods with her eyes closed, which I found adorable.

She brushed her teeth while I got ready to shower. By the time I was done showering and drying off, she was out like a light in my bed.

I climbed into bed next to her as quietly as possible. I settled in and got comfy. I could feel the sleepiness taking over, but before I drifted off, I kissed her on the head and said a few things to her. I know she didn't hear me, but I wanted to say it.

"Thank you for everything, Kyo. You really are the best. I love you so much, my beautiful girl."

I fell asleep fast. At some point in the middle of the night, I woke up for a few minutes. Kyo had her arms around me now. I fell back to sleep with a smile on my face.

I think this is the happiest I've been in a long time.

I could stay like this forever.
