It was on Earth 1900. Yet again not the Earth Kenji knew. Out of all the planets and dimensions. It was the most unique. Not its species, not the planet or it's technically. But the stories and theories it had. They had such creative minds, the most creative it could have been said. Many others only focused on advancements but Earth seemed more in love with the lies they could tell in life, the stories, the what if instead of the what was. And one what if started everything. The multiverse theory.
Loki had already been implementing so many powers, laws or what came later known as systems. Creating multiple universes that had their own way of living. Universes of magic, universes of cultivation, mutations and unnatural powers. There were so many he and Magnolia created together. It was perfect. But this theory would change everything. Each action would in itself to make a new universe of unlimited possibilities. And so, with one flick. Less than a flick, not even a thought. Magnolia watched Loki create everything. The Omniverse, multiverses of infinite possibilities. Once there was only one earth but now there were an infinite amount. All past, present and future. Magnolia and Loki existing as single points in this infinite possibility.
With this everything changed.
Magnolia: There's so much to see. We probably won't even be able to see it all in our infinite life!
Loki: You like it?
Magnolia: LOKI I LOVE IT!
Loki hugged next to Magnolia. Always wanting to stay close to her.
Magnolia: OH! If we can't see it all, then let's have others enjoy our fun!
Loki: Others? I guess there would be those with travel already since there are infinite possibilities.
Magnolia: No no. Not something so finite. Let's have more kids!
Loki: We have an infinite number of kids now though?
Magnolia: Not just the kids our mortal shells make. Not the ones we've been making. But... ones that can be with us forever.
Loki: Like us?
Magnolia: Yeah! Though they would resemble humans more. Humans have loves in their life. They like art, or football. We'll make it so that our children have one thing they love more than anything else. So they can experience the infinite possibilities of that love. Just like you love fiction!
Loki: So they would also help?
Magnolia: Yeah! They can help us. And then we can make it so they can have kids and so on.
Loki: Hmmmmm. That sounds... like a good idea.
That was the moment "core gods" came about. Magnolia made them of what she believed were the fundamentals of life. There were 5. Creation, Soul, Belief, Experience, Destruction. Their children. But they weren't children for long. They aged much faster than humans. Nearly instant. Each one a strong soul that had a shell they could freely change.
Loki then created constellations. They were supposed to be humans that were exceptional. Giving them strong powers to help guide their children and the children they would make. There was no mistake in making constellations. Many are good people. Some were bad but Loki learned to see the everything similarly to Magnolia, a balance, finite. The bad in them was something humans and other beings had to have to be free. But when he did. He began to see something in his own children. He began to see something wrong with them.
Both Magnolia and Loki limited themselves to live among their creations. They decided not to see the future, not know everything, not to be all powerful unless they were creating things. Loki and Magnolia had a house, neighbours, a pet wolf. Even though they had lived longer lives than anyone could possibly imagine. They liked the small, the simple. But their children didn't. They had grown up too fast. They all took more sadistic sides.
Their children were too absorbed in their own power. They started making things that would harm creation, started harming creation directly. Loki had stopped them and disciplined them. The power they were given was to help, for them to explore the love in it. Creation to make beautiful things to better mortals, Destruction to watch the natural and beautiful end of things and if possible making the natural more beautiful, Soul to guide those that met their end to their deserved lives and better them to help them, Experience was to lead those in pain to happier lives to make those happy even happier to advance them, and Belief was to guide the mortals and make sure conflict was avoided.
But ultimately they never stopped their wicked ways. And the last straw was when they completely erased an entire universe so full of life. Making systems that enslaved what were supposed to be their own children. Inflicting harm on the mortals beyond any war or pain Loki had seen.
Magnolia: And that's how it all started. Loki tried to peacefully confront our children. But they attacked him. It was a war between him and the many "gods" they had enslaved. Making rankings for them, limiting them, harvesting power from "core" worlds, universes or multiverses. Each child they made was just as sadistic or more than them. He couldn't view them as his children anymore. He had spent so long viewing all of creation as his children that those that destroyed it couldn't be considered his. And I... the same. I tried all the parental techniques I knew but they didn't have childhoods. They couldn't have grown up naturally. You could say me and Loki never aged but we started off from nothing. We learned to appreciate everything. They... they did not.
Magnolia had a solum look on her face as she told Kenji her entire life story. She was...
Kenji: You don't need to narrate right now. You've told me everything. I had to even separate time and space because I need to keep a promise and you took literally 3 years to tell your whole story.
Magnolia: And I still cut things out. It's impressive I managed to condense eons into 3 short years. L... Kenji. I need to give you three options. And what you choose. Will change everything.
