"And that's why you followed me? Because I had a big bag?" I look at Roman.
His eyes are now closed after telling his, kinda creepy, story.
"Yep that's why. We were bored. Why did you think we followed you because you were special?" He chuckles a little.
"Well I was special to you! I had a big bag!"
"Shut up, I'm trying to relax." He wiggles his sword out from beneath him and places it beside where he's laying. Then turns on his side.
Guess that means we're done talking.
I look around the barn some more, it's old and has what feels like 100s of cobwebs. There are different stalls that I doubted held horses when it was first made. Orpheus is lying asleep in an open ended stall, I assume it's where they bathed and groomed the horses. I stand up and begin walking around. It's not a large barn, but it's not all either. There's piles of hay spread around, some look new. Leo did say they had been here before. Maybe they brought them in to sit on? I take a peak in one of the stalls and see 2 straw dummy's, they're not new but not old. Next to them is a bow target, it has hundreds of holes in it from where arrows have pierced through. Wonder if it's still usable? Might as well drag it out. I open the stable and it creaks open. I look over at Roman who's still rolled away from me, presumably asleep. I start to drag out one of the dummies and as I do it hits the side of the stable. I continue to drag it out until I hear footsteps behind me.
"Do you have to be so loud?" He's walking over to me.
"Yes."
I say as I continue to drag the dummy out of the stable. Roman is leaning in the stall watching me. I get the dummy out into the open and turn to him.
"If you're not gonna get your beauty sleep, could you help me?"
He nods his head and walks into the stable. Ok then.
He grabs the dummy I'm working on getting out and lifts it with ease. Fucking show off.
I grab the other dummy and lift it up, beginning to drag it out. He grabs that one and does the same thing.
"I had that one." I whisper under my breath.
"Clearly you didn't. Let me just grab the last one." He walks into the stall.Soon we have the two dummy's set up out in the open, and the target is set up to where you can shoot at it through a window.
"So, why do you guys have these in the first place?" I ask sleeping beauty.
Roman is stretched out again on the hay.
"Well we trained here before joining the real soldiers training camp. You should know we only joined a year ago."
So that's why they were so good.
"We weren't even gonna join in the first place. However Leo convinced us to try it, and we ended up enjoying our selves."
"So you met Mason first?"
He nods.
"Was Leo a soldier before he met you?" I say as I take a seat next to orpheus who is still sleeping soundly.
"Yeah. But for another kingdom."
"Wait what? How did he end up here then?"
"That's not my story to tell." He smirks.
Then he roles over where I can't see his face.
Why in the world would a soldier for another kingdom just up and leave? I lay back, my head a little closer to Orpheus. I look at his black color, his little horns, and his pretty little claws. Then I look up at the ceiling the cob webs and dust all over every thing. I have some work to do before this place can be considered your new home huh. I notice my eyes becoming heavy. But I have time to take a little nap right? I close my eyes and begin to drift off. Just a small little nap...
