Hi guys and welcome to my book, this was originally published in chapters however I have now moved it to Watt pad. I'm hoping to improve my writing skills and hopefully we can take this journey together. Well, I hope you love or at least like this book. Let's get started!!
Chapter question!!
Let me know if you listen to music when you read like me or if you don't ?
_______________________________________________________I realised all my problems stem from one thing, the truth. The one thing people struggle to let go of and the one thing capable of destroying your whole life.
What truth you may ask?, the truth that holds the real reason why i've been held captive in the basement under my chilhood home. The reason to why I was banihsed down here at the age of twelve and how seven years later I'm still trapped in the exact same place.
However, today was the day I regained my freedom and finally got myself out of this hell hole.
After years and years of waiting it finally happened. He forgot to lock the door to my room. If you can even call it that, it's more like a prison cell. But this was my one and only opportunity and I had to take it.
I waited until the tiny spot of light that shines onto the wall , from the crack in the window was no longer there. I had no way to tell the time down here but at least I knew when it was dark. I decided to wait longer to make sure there was no chance anyone would still be awake.
I then decided it was now or never. I stood up slowly from the corner of the room, my legs started to shake from the uneasiness of finally standing up after, I don't know how long. Luckily the wall caught me before I could fall over.
Finally steading myself, I take one step at a time towards the door. I can hear my heart beating in my ears. I inhale a deep breath through my nose allowing my wolf to sense if anyone was close. The smell was very faint, meaning it was all clear.
I gently push the door forward making sure that I made not a singular sound. Once I make it into the empty hallway I turn and look into the room I was held in for years. I want to cry, the images racing through my head. But I can't, if I want to get out of here I need to focus.
I head in the direction of the stairs that lead into the house, it surprises me that I remember it so well even after all this time. I automatically grab the railing and follow the path up, the same way I did when I was younger, avoiding the creeks of the wood.
Eventually I make it to the top, I hadn't realised id been holding my breath, so I slowly exhale the air trapped in my lungs. My heart is beating even faster but I manage to keep my breathing slow and controlled.
Again I push the door infront of me forward, allowing my head to follow with it. I try and scan the kitchen making sure that I couldn't smell anyone. One foot at a time I place them on the hard oak floor, my toes enjoying the sensation of a different surface.
I'd managed to make it without any sound, and move to the other side of the door closing it behind me. I moved as slow as a possibly could towards the door in the kitchen that lead to the back garden of the house.
I was only a couple more steps away, when the floor board beneath my foot betrayed me and the creeching sound echoed through the house.
Even though it was only a subtle sound, I was clever enough to know that he would be running in here any second now. My previous slow approach turned it a vicious and loud attempt to get to the door as quick as possible.
Then i hear the footsteps approach, coming closer and closer. The fear taking over my whole body as i start to shake and my heart beat grows into my ears. My hands battling with the handle of the door, but it won't open, why won't it open?
