Chiron glanced over half-blood hill and a chill ran down his spine. Two of his best pupils were off to find their way in the world, with a new small companion.

At the time of their leaving, Aegeus was only 2. She probably wouldn't remember most of her life in the camp, nor any of the people she met there. This was by design. The longer that Will and Nico could keep her out of danger, the better. With both of their skills combined they were able to keep her safe.

Most of Aegeus' childhood went by without any abnormal occurrences. Aegeus' abilities were tarnished by the mortal world, dampening them so much that she couldn't use them properly at least not without finding out her heritage.

She was homeschooled for all of elementary, before moving into more advanced classes in middle college. Despite her Dyslexia and ADHD, Aegeus performed rather well in school and progressed much faster than many students. She was fluent in Latin, Greek, Spanish, and Italian thanks to her parent's lessons.

Her childhood wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, however. There were a few incidents that could not be explained through normal means.

Once on a school trip to an aquarium, a spider crab crawled next to her in its tank. Its long legs seem to reach for her school bag despite being behind glass. She swore she heard it whisper "Now what do I do with you young one?" before the glass of another tank was cracked, causing massive flooding and several distressed dolphins.

Separating themselves from demigod society wasn't easy. Nico hardly knew anything else and Will had always considered camp his home and all who enter as his family. But to properly hide their daughter they cut off all contact with people inside the camps. Aegeus had asked questions before, of her history and her family, but she could never seem to get a straight answer. Dad 1 (Will) would always say "Go ask your father", and Dad 2 (Nico) would say that it was complicated and just leave it at that.

This couldn't work forever though. How could it? It was only a matter of time. Prophecies don't like going unanswered.

(Sorry just a teaser for now. I'll try to update more soon)
