The future isn't set on stone

Chapter 10

The five heroes landed on the Eiffel Tower. When they spotted the monarch, they pulled out their weapons, ready to fight. Nathalie stood between the heroes and the monarch.

N: There is no need. I'm sure the monarch doesn't intention to hurt anyone anymore.

Ch: Prove it. Get rid of all the Miraculous.

The Monarch took all the rings off his hands. The only Miraculous he had on him was the Butterfly Miraculous.

Ch: Including the butterfly.

Monarch stared at Chat Noir's face for a moment, trying to read something. Then he sighed heavily, taking off the brooch and throwing it to the ground. Gabriel appeared in front of the heroes in a white outfit.

Future G: So do you believe me now?

All five of them watched him intently. This was slowly starting to irritate the future Gabriel. What else was he supposed to do? He wanted to say something but looked at Nathalie. He could see in her eyes that she was giving him comfort. He took a few deep breaths to calm down.

Ch: Yes, although we're keeping an eye on you.

Future Gabriel nodded to show he understood.

Ch : What now, we beat mom but it's temporary.

N: Unfortunately, there's not much we can do, Adrien. Emilie must win. Your future depends on it.

Ch: I know, but it's unfair to you. I am the reason for your separation. Adrien became sad and looked at the floor. He couldn't look Nathalie in the eye. He blames himself.

Nathalie walked up to Adrien. She placed her hands on his shoulders.

N: Adrien, look at me, please.

Adrien hesitated for a moment, but raised his head and looked at Nathalie.

N: Adrien, don't ever blame yourself for the mistakes of adults. We should blame ourselves for our actions that hurt you so much. I know you are a wonderful young boy who wants everyone to be happy but you are forgetting about yourself. You should be yelling at us all at this point.

Nathalie smiled fondly at Adrien. A smile appeared on his face as well. Adrien hugged Nathalie, who now hugged him back without hesitation. They hugged each other until they heard a voice.

G: Honey, you should listen to yourself sometimes.

Nathalie broke away from Adrien and looked at her husband.

N: You haven't given me a reason to yell darling at you yet. But don't worry about that, if this is our future. Nathalie pointed to the future Gabriel. I'm sure I'll scream at you more than once.

Ch: Yes, in the future you are like a divorced married couple.

Gabriel, Adrien and Nathalie started laughing. However, the future Gabriel was not laughing. He experienced Nathalie's anger firsthand. He missed her, he miss about their closes. He saw that it was all his fault. Tomoe manipulated him and made him forget who was important in his life. He was afraid to return to his own time now, seeing the happiness that might not be granted to him. He wanted to leave, as if he had no right to watch this scene. He was about to leave when he felt someone grab his hand. He turned his head and saw Nathalie's blue eyes.
