Early 1991

After 3 years of being together and dating, Axl finally popped the question. Let me tell you. This man made me cry. They were happy tears, I promise. We were literally out to dinner at this restaurant in LA, and, they had this little outdoor area that had this pond. And little did I know, Axl would be getting down right on one knee. It was personal and private. The way Axl wanted it. But, tears were shed the moment he placed the ring on my finger. It was a day I'll NEVER forget.

Axl and I have been married for 2 years now, and there have been no complaints at all whatsoever.

The last few weeks have been pretty peaceful in the Rose household. Axl was back in the studio with the guys, getting busy on the newest album, "Use Your Illusion, 1 & 2". Usually we'd wake up together, get our cuddles and kisses in, and get ready for the day, before splitting our separate ways. I was currently a head manager in a local corporation and didn't get home till around 6-7 PM, which always gave me time to prep dinner or tidy up around our house. Then, my husband would usually get home around 9 or sometimes even later, just depending on how things went at the studio. We'd usually eat dinner, and I'd clean up. And the rest of our evenings would be filled with sexual activities. Of course, me and my husband practiced safe sex, and sometimes we'd say "screw it" and go all natural. And that's how our days would go.

_________

February 6th 1991, Axl's 29th Birthday.

It was around 8 AM of the 6th of February, my husband's 29th birthday, of course.
Axl and I were still in bed of course, since him and I were up pretty late.
I decided to get up, putting on my black lace robe, and a pair of slippers Axl got me both of them for my 27th birthday. I tried to not make as much noise around the bedroom, since my husband was asleep, looking so peaceful and perfect, that it wasn't even funny.

I finally made my way downstairs to begin making a special breakfast that I knew would make Axl smile on his very special day.
I decided on whipping up some chocolate-chip pancakes, sunny side up eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns, which smelled delectable. The scents brought back memories of the hotel rooms I stayed at with Axl when him and the guys were on tour and the 6 of us would get breakfast right at the crack of dawn.

As I was putting Axl's plate together, I heard footsteps coming down the long white-marble staircase. It was the birthday boy himself, wearing only his boxers, and his rings on his fingers. His strawberry-blonde hair was a mess, but he looked so cute!!

"Happy Birthday, My Beloved..."
I said to my husband, taking a minute to step away from the counter as I watched him enter the kitchen

"Thank you, My Love..."
he said, speaking as he smiled. He came forward, taking my hand in his, as he pulled me into his his embrace. I was quick to wrap my arms around his torso, giving his back a gentle rub. Axl kissed the top of my head, before speaking again.
"Something smells good in here, and I'm not just talking bout' the food..."

I giggled softly, hearing my husband's sweet words, which made me blush.
"Oh, Axl..."
I said, giving his warm chest a gentle pat. He took a moment to grab my chin, as he placed soft kisses all over my face, and then one to my lips.

"Just tellin' ya the truth, Gracie..."
He said, after he slowly pulled away to look into my brown eyes, as I looked into his green-blue ones.

"How'd my birthday boy sleep?"
I asked him, as my fingers rubbed his back, which was still warm from him being in bed.

Axl chuckled, looking down at me before answering my question.
"He slept pretty well, till he smelled the fragrances of food being cooked by his wonderful wife...."
He said, before dipping his head down into the crook of my neck, and playing a kiss to my supple skin, which made me sigh in a content manner.

"Well my birthday boy better get to eating, before it gets cold..."
I told my husband, as I spoke softly, trying to keep my composure as he kissed my neck once more.

"Rather eat you, Baby girl..."
Axl mumbled, as he kissed my neck once more, trying to leave a mark this time.

"Axl!!"
I said, with a little squeal, before he stopped kissing my neck all together, and headed to the dining room table.

_________

It was an hour after Axl and I finished eating breakfast, and I decided to let him open up one of his gifts, since he was begging me as I was doing the dishes from the morning's mess of breakfast.

"Alright, ya ready for your first present?"
I asked my husband, as I plopped onto the couch next to him

Axl nodded his head as quickly as possible, almost as if he was a child again.
"You bet I am, Love..."
He said, with the widest grin on his face.

I handed Axl a small black velvet box, which held a new silver cross necklace, which he'd been wanting for the past few months. He took it between his hands as he slowly opened it

Axl gasped, as he looked over at me.
"Gracie, you didn't...."

I nodded my head, as I smiled.
"I know you've been wanting it for some time now..."
I said, as I smiled at my husband. He got the necklace out of the box and immediately put it on.

"It's perfect, just like you..."
Axl said, as he pulled me closer, and rubbed my back in an up & down motion.

"You're even more perfect, Axl..."
I said, looking up at him. I gave my husband's back a gentle rub in return

Axl opened a few more presents of course. I got him more jewelry and some clothes, things he'd been wanting after seeing them in magazine.

The last present he opened was kinda unusual, but, at the same time, this was something Axl and I had been wanting, ever since we got married. A baby. But, I wanted to tell him in somewhat of a different way.

Axl was quick to open the small little box which held a note.

"Head into the kitchen, and open the oven"
Axl repeated the saying on the small piece of paper, as he looked over at me.

"Did you make me a cake, or what?"
He asked me, with this expression on his face.

"Just go look, come on."
I said to my husband, as I dragged him off the couch and to our kitchen.

"I swear to God Gracie, If it's something so stupid I'm gonna-"
Axl cut himself off, as he saw what was in the oven. A bun. Just a single bread roll sitting right there on the grate.

"What kind of fuckery is this?"
He asked me, now pulling the white bread roll out of the oven and holding it.

"Axl, think. Use your brain."
I said to my husband, who was clearly dumbfounded.

He stared at me for a few moment, till he dropped the roll right onto the ground.
"No fucking way. No no no way. Gracie is this...."
Axl was now starting to get it. Hence the bun being in the oven.

"Are you pregnant?"
He asked me, putting his hand over his mouth, as he stood there.

I was quick to nod, as I looked over at Axl.

"Oh my God, you're pregnant. There's a baby in your belly. MY BABY."
He said, as he stepped forward, wrapping his arms around me. To which I did the same, giving him a squeeze.

"You're gonna be a daddy"
I said, trying my best to not get too emotional. I could already tell Axl was already getting emotional as I spoke.

"You're pregnant, oh God, I can't believe it. You're really fucking pregnant."
My husband said, as he peppered the side of my head with kisses.

I nodded my head, as Axl tipped my chin up, before his lips smashed into mine in the quickest manner possible. It was wet, tender, but FULL of love.

"Happy Birthday, Baby..."
I muttered between our kisses, trying to speak before his lips could suffocate mine again.
