A dripping sound fills the ears of Ruby, bringing her out of her deep sleep. "Five more minutes," Ruby says, thinking it's just a TV or something she's hearing, but it keeps going, which forces her to open her eyes. What meets her is not the wood panels of V's cabin but the rock walls. Ruby, of course, is confused and jumps up, looking around. The room is about the same size as a large room. It reminds Ruby of the dining room back at Beacon Academy. Ruby feels the wall with her hands as the rocks that make up the area seem filed down like someone has been working on them for years. They feel rough but smooth. "Why am I in this cave? And where is my fri," Ruby said to herself, just as she is interrupted by the ground shaking under her, which forces her to look around. She sees a small orb with a bright light, sitting in the middle of the cave which shows Ruby just how large the cave is. She walks over as another odd orb falls beside the last one, causing Ruby to lean over and ask, "What are these things?". As she's checking on the weird orbs, another one hits Ruby in the head, which forces her to look up. It seems these orbs are being dropped down from above; this of course is one of many questions Ruby has running through her mind as she tries to figure out what's going on.

Ruby grabs the orb closest to her and uses it as a light source. The light that shoots out of it is a smooth round form. When Ruby pointed it in front of her, it seemed to brighten up the spots, kind of like the lights on the girl's old scrolls. This just's adds to the many questions Ruby has, but she decides to figure those out later. She points the light up and sees a large hole above her which goes up to a massive rock above them. It seems to block the exit, "but how are these orbs getting through?" The giant rock is unknown to her, and Ruby kinda sighs at this entire thing. "Ok, it seems that the exit above me is blocked off and there seems to be no way out." "Then how can I", she turn to the rocky walls to see if she can see if there another exit, which for a moment seems to just be more of the rocky walls she's kind of use to seeing. Suddenly somthing yellow which catch her eyes which at first she belive it was a rock which is odd because why would there be a "Wait is that?" Ruby stares closer when she notices it's not a rock, but "Omg Yang!" Ruby runs toward her older sister with her semblance.

Yang is lying on her side with her back to Ruby, with one arm out stretched. Her other arm is behind her back, and it looks like she's sleeping. But her black arm is noticeable to Ruby a mile away. Ruby reaches her in the blink of eye and shakes her sister to try to wake her. When she sees Blake and Weiss also lying nearby, causing her to yells for her friends to wake up too, still shaking Yang. A groan can be heard from Yang. "Ruby? Why are you yelling so loud in the morning?" Ruby hugs her sister so tightly Yang feels like she's going to turn to dust in Ruby arms, but she's overjoyed that nothing happened to any of her friends. This just confuses Yang till she notices where they are right now. "Hey, um, Ruby, why and how are we in a cave when we were just in V cabin?" Ruby was just about to explain all she knew when Weiss and Blake begin to awake due to all the yelling coming from the team leader. "Ruby, why are you yelling?" Both Weiss & Blake ask almost at the same time. That is, until they notice where they are.

Weiss just like Yang, took in her surroundings and looked to Blake, who was just as confused. "Um, what's going on?" Blake asked, a bit of panic setting in. "Ok, so girls, um, I can explain, but" she paused momentarily, her teammates waiting for an answer. "So we're in a cave, and there seems to be no exit." WBY stared at Ruby as Weiss grabbed Ruby by her collar and screamed, "What do you mean there's no exit?!" Yang and Blake grab her shoulders and tell Weiss to calm down. "But we're trapped! How are we supposed to get out?!" Weiss yells. Ruby is dizzy from the the ice queen shaking her. "Weiss, just take a deep breath and let's not panic", Yang tells Weiss, while trying to get her sister out of Weiss's death grip. Blake adds, "Yang's right. We should take a moment and figure this out, but we shouldn't panic." Weiss looks back at Yang, and Blake looks back at Ruby, then sighs before letting Ruby go. "Ok, ok, you're right. I panicked. Sorry Ruby! So what should we do now?" Ruby shook it off and started pacing back and forward as she thought of what they should do. The girls looked around to see if there was any sign of an exit, feeling the rocky walls to see if there are any hatches, or switches, or fake rocks, that might open a door and allow them to escape.
