15. Blind Mans Buff

"Veera."

John called out to her as she saw her in the parking lot.

She turned around to see him walking her way.

"I can't believe I don't know her. Oh, I feel like such a fool." Veera darted her eyes shamelessly towards the ground.

She worried relentlessly stressing out, that she couldn't recognise a single face.

"Hey, look at me."

He tilted her chin up to him. Once again those wonderful soft tingles came at her.

John looked down at her caressing her cheek tenderly. This time Veera didn't push him away, and welcomed him trying to comfort her.

"It's not your fault you don't remember. You suffered from a bad concussion leading you to loose your memories."

He reminded.

Her eyes watered some more.

"I have no one here. I'm just an orphan John."

It broke his heart that she didn't have a family to go home to. But it didn't matter to him anymore, he got her now.

"Hey, you still have me."

《G》John, don't tell me you're having second thoughts about claiming her?

John died his inner east thoughts. All he cared about was him claiming her. Of course he wanted to claim her, but the timing was wrong.

He still had to break the news ro her in the most delicate way possible.

However he feared that she would run which was causing him to severe delay.

Jaxson wasn't going to be happy about that.

Moreover, he didn't wish her to stress out more. Not after what she was going through.

Veera then hugged John close and sobbed at his chest feeling scared and vulnerable.

"What am I going to do?"

She whispered out since he was the only person she could rely on.

John hugged her and consoled her, welcoming those amazing tingles he too received from her.

He was tempted to make out with her, however he resisted the urge to do so when eyes were in him and her from the Dean's office.

Mrs Kansas watched them like a hawk then ordered the security guards to usher them out.

"Excuse me folks, you two need to leave, before the Dean calls the police." The old gaurd reminded.

"We're leaving."

John almost snapped angrily, but controlled himself as he gave a strict annoyed look at the Dean who then shut her shutters.

"C'mon Veera."

John said unlocking his car and then opening the door for her.

Without any protest, Veera got in.

John then left the school premises and hit the road.

"Where are we going?"

"We're heading back home, and we'll figure it out, ok?"

"Ok." She replied then fell silent staring out the window.
