<13> Mana Manipulation: In fiction, mana is basically and most commonly portrayed as the magical aspect of life-force (i.e. magical life energy, or 'magical energy with life-force'). Hence, it can be found on a universal scale, as life-force is the fundamental of existence. Magical entities are able to control mana. They can harness this type of energy from not only their own selves but also the ambiance, since everything that exists possesses vitality, as aforesaid. Rare users can create new mana from nothing. Via mana manipulation, a mage can achieve various feats. Mana users can control the magic locomotion as mana is a form of magical energy. Aside from utilization for spellcasting, they can channel, re-route, or twist mana that is already used for something. This could lead to counter-spelling, unraveling magical effects, or re-directing mana in use for other purposes. Mana manipulators may also be able to destroy mana entirely, leading to anti-magic effects. It may also be possible for a user to find alternate and more efficient ways to use mana. Since mana is probably life-force based magical energy, it may have various sentience-based effects. It may act as a singular entity, granting life to the magic it manifests. Or it may cooperate with its users as a summoned unit with sentience. Users can also use Mana to manipulate various and possibly all forms of magic and magical energy. Some unique Mana users require no incantation to cast spells, as they an create their own almost infinitely. Uncommonly, mana is considered a distinct school of magic in some verses, such as Mage the Awakening. Several video game settings (e.g. MOBA) also refer to mana simply as power points to cast skills or a general mystical resource to perform supernatural acts. It is not strictly wielded by mages.

- Heavenly Flames: In the world of Battle Through the Heavens, there exists flames given birth by natural forces, known as Heavenly Flames (异火). From the original Chinese characters, this should have been translated to different or Abnormal Flames. These Heavenly Flames are incredibly powerful, much stronger than flames created with Dou Qi, and when used by Alchemists, can help to increase the effect of the pills they created. However, these Heavenly Flames are extremely wild and explosive, not to mention extremely rare, so even if one encounters an Heavenly Flame, it is still extremely difficult to absorb and control it. When a Heavenly Flame is present, all other flames fear and follow it because they are the kings of flames and all other flames naturally serve it. Heavenly Flames are formed through the slow accumulation of the world's Heavenly and tend to have their own unique shapes. For example, The Green Lotus Core Flame is shaped like a lotus. What's rarer is that a few Heavenly Flames will possess emotions and intelligence! The flame that possesses wisdom is known as a Fire Spirit! Its intelligence is comparable to High-Class Magical Beasts that can shape-shift into a human form! In the Dou Qi Continent's alchemist society, the known Heavenly Flames are ranked in the "Heavenly Flames Ranking". There are a total of 23 types.

- The 'Blood Lotus Pill' is an essential thing that allows you to come into close contact with a Heavenly Flame. Without its protection, even a Dou Huang would not dare to simply come into contact with a 'Heavenly Flame'.

- 'Ice Spirit Cold Fountain'. If the 'Blood Lotus Pill' is meant to protect the exterior of your body, then this 'Ice Spirit Cold Fountain' is meant to protect the inside of your body. It can protect you from the destructive temperature of a 'Heavenly Flame' when you are refining it, preventing you from being burnt till nothing remains.
