The boy sat in stoney silence staring out at the elegant dancing waves of the illuminated ocean in front of him. It seemed to him that nothing in the world could go wrong if this scene stayed uncorrupted by the destructive touch of men. He heard the approach of someone so familiar yet utterly new he didn't react, just sat there knowing this specter would reveal himself when he sees fit. His body felt numb and cold but he began to feel warmer as the specter presses against him. "Why did you not come? You know i waited for you. Waited to escape with you to a place where we can love freely. But you didn't come." He looked at the boy with eyes of love yet the boy never took his eyes off the ocean. "I can't leave my mother like this Mike" the boy said to Mike. "Then i'll go and find love for myself. Is that what you want?" Mike said staring at the unblinking boy who stared out across the vast expanse of water that lay before them. "Yes. It is." The boy sat in stoney silence staring out at the elegant dancing waves of the illuminated ocean in front of him. Realizing it is the only scene that will ever bring him comfort from that day on.
