As Jay wandered to his next class, he saw a familiar man walking the same direction as him, and Jay felt the wind catch in his throat. Taking a moment to regain his breath, he decided to walk towards the man. Tim froze as Jay put his hand on his shoulder, and the parallels to what he remembered became very clear. Jay quickly took his hand off Tim's shoulder, and put his hands up as Tim turned around. His fearful  -although to anyone else would call them angry- eyes scanned Jay, and Jay gave a small smile.

"You're Timothy Wright, yeah?" Jay was going to die with the fact he was mimicking past actions. But unlike the past, Tim sort of shrank into himself. "Who are you then." He asked shortly, although it sounded more like a statement. "Jay Merrick, you're, uh, Brian's friend right?" Jay's slight smile grew wider as he started to drop his hands. "Yeah. Uhm." Tim glanced away, a nervous tic of his, and Jay laughed softly. "You're headed to the music room right?" Tim nodded, glancing up at the taller man. Jay hoped he looked as sane as possible. "Uh.. Yeah." Jay laughed. "My class is the same way, I've seen you around a few times, and I know you know Brian so..." Jay trailed off. Tim seemed thankful he did.

"Yeah, we're roommates." Jay's thought process stuttered a moment, processing the new information before grinning. "That's cool. Alex is mine, so I guess it makes sense we're so close to them, huh?" Jay joked, starting to walk in the same direction that Tim was going. Tim paused for a moment, before following the taller man. "Yeah, I suppose that explains it.. Uh. So what's your major?" Tim starts and Jay inwardly warms at the fact that the man barely changed over the years before he met him officially in his memories. "Oh I'm majoring in film, same as Alex. What's your major?" Jay asks calmly. "Oh! Uh.." Tim trailed off, and Jay waited patiently, not wishing for Tim to feel forced.

"Music.." Tim trailed off, and Jay could see out of the corner of his eye that he was a bit red. Jay snickered a bit. "No need to be so embarrassed about it. That sounds pretty cool. You play an instrument?" Tim glanced over at Jay and smiled. "Yeah actually, uh. Guitar." Jay smiled back. "That's cool. The bass is cooler though." He put on a confident voice. "A lot less challenging, typically repeated notes over and over! Lot less tricky for the most part." Tim scoffed, but it was lightly. "But it also means you're overshadowed by the rest. However you can always hear the difference when the bass doesn't play." Tim replies, keeping his guard up. Jay didn't blame him.

"Exactly. That's what's so cool about it. They're in the background and hardly heard and appreciated, but it wouldn't be the same without them." Tim nodded before stopping at a door. "This is my stop." Jay nodded and smiled down at the man. "Have fun learning music theory, or whatever the fck you do in there, maybe I'll see ya around." Jay joked lightly and Tim nodded. "Uh, yeah." Tim entered the room and Jay wandered about before entering the room two doors down.
