I fell in love with this ship as soon as I read it. I think Blue and Cricket work so well together. I'm not as obsessed now but when reading The Lost Continent and The Hive Queen this was one of if not my favorite part of the book. Overall, I think they're great together. Blue and Cricket are both kind and caring, and I think they are good for each other. Though I'll admit, their romance did feel a little rushed. They kind of just fell in love immediately. Maybe in the beginning it could just be interpreted at strong admiration and interest but still. It's not really an issue for me though, or at least not that big of an issue. They care for each other so quickly because first, it's in their nature, and because of the kindness the other person shows them. Cricket is willing to risk her safety and even life to help Blue so it makes sense why he'd start to care for her as well. Blue treats Cricket with kindness and consideration, differing from how a lot of people in her life treat her. Justifying her admiration in him.
