Oceanic waves of blue crash violently against the hull of the ship. The people on the deck Panic hoping to be saved by some God. But nobody comes for them. Beneath all the people on the deck starving for medical attention, the slaves are birthing newborns for the trade. They are born, they grow, then they work. The women of the ship were sold for sex and were often younger than the age of six, my mother was supposed to be one of these few.
In the panic the possibilitie's claws digging into the crew's necks, they begin to question their lives. They kidnap young girls to rape them in which they birth children, boys work and women get sold for sodomy. It was a regular practice for the few and had spread to other pirate ships, not just their own.
Donte Garcia, a Hispanic man from Mexico City, does the most thinking. Married at age 22, the wife develops an unknown, never-before-seen disease and starts to wither away. His two daughters contract it too, and don't last very long. He pulls out a new baby as he works medically with the slaves giving birth. She's beautiful, and he has no intentions of having relations with her.
He wipes the baby off and takes her knowing that she will never be allowed within reach of her mother, and he brings her to the captain. "Sir," He starts to beg. "May I take the child as my own, she shall not be raised as a pirate, she is too fragile for this life" He speaks uncaring most of the time, but in front of the captain, he speaks with respect.
Knowing his past and the story of his daughters, the man agrees, and Donte names the child.
Dianne Welles, after the mother, who would die shortly after childbirth due to complications.
Years fly and soar by, but nothing changes on that ship, it was when Dianne turned 18 that the operation finally ended.
The captain, an intelligent man, fails to realize in a contradictory manner that he's a wanted man. He pulls the ship into a dock in DamiansTown for supplies that the ship desperately needs. He and multiple members of the ship leave for wares, Donte and maybe three others are there, not including Dianne.
I don't know yet how they recognized the ship, but it was raided by the DamiansTown military, 19 young men in red uniforms, the district's colors. They pull out dozens of slaves from the hull. Raiding every room, shooting every member of the ship, till they finally get to Dianne's quarters. The captain of the military district from DamiansTown enters. On his face, a mask, red with golden decorations.
He approaches a dagger in hand and brings it to Donte's throat, whom Dianne has started to appreciate more than anyone over her 18 years of life, and sees him as a dad.
He digs the knife into the fat of his neck and-
