Another Trial

At the Ubuyashiki’s garden

Five people known as the Hashira arrived just as their kasugai crow informed them about attending another trial, Senjuro Rengoku and the eagle demon, (Y/N).
Three people knew who he is, Kyojuro Rengoku's younger brother. Uzui Tengan felt his heart drop under shocked expression for having to hear that poor grieving boy be socializing towards a demon under a vulnerable state since his brother's death, it was wrong for anyone to take advantage of the gentle Rengoku, especially that demon girl.
He truly despises what sort of sorcery that this demon has done to him.
As Senjuro and curious (Y/N) arrived at the gate of headquarters, he immediately grabbed her talons which soon transformed into hand, held it in comfort. Not knowing that he might be scared but doesn't mind.
Her instincts were alerted to what kind of place this is. As she look at scared Senjuro, and wonder why he is showing fear.
Before she could ask, they were immediately pulled away from each other when young Rengoku tried to reach his hand towards her. Failed that he was moved into the further side of the garden while the demon girl was forced to the other side of the garden where the oversized box was set in front of her, but didn't move or plan on getting inside of it,
“Get in!” One of the Kakushi said, struggling to push the demon into the back while she just remained still like a stubborn cat. Shinobu smiled at this funny scenes but kindly assisted them in putting the demon into the box.
Meanwhile, with Senjuro was put on ropes like cuffs in front of him, Giyuu had to do it because of how hysterical the boy was showing towards the other kakushi members. Surprisingly, the sad flame haired boy allowed Tomioka to do so, but he was still worried for (Y/N).

The other five Hashiras patiently waited for the trial to begin, then Senjuro was escorted to the Hashiras standing but Obanai was at his tree spot, he didn't bother to look at him. Tengan is the same way too, but disappointed. While his maroon eyes showed sadness on what might happen next towards Senjuro.
Sanemi was already mad but planned on decapitating that demon but was forced not to by the others. Aka, Gyomei.
Giyuu had escorted the flame haired boy as the male kakushi led them to where they are supposed to meet up with the others, Muichiro had appeared from out of nowhere that he looked at the clouds.
“Where's that demon?” Sanemi asked demandly, not like he cared but wished to cut that girl.
“Shinazugawa, please enough.” Shinobu said but was still smiling while it made her veins pop through the side of her head, which had him snarled but mostly afraid. She arrived in time but with one of the Kakushi holding the oversized box like luggage that (Y/N) was inside of the darkness, doesn't understand why she needs to be caged if she couldn't protect young Rengoku. Her body size was five year old. The eagle demon removed the bamboo muzzle and placed it into her skirt pocket for later.
It made her scared of what these humans were planning on, so she used her claws talon to carefully scratch the wood to make a hole to peek through.

“Listen to me, four days ago. She had done nothing but keep me safe from the demon in the forest nearly eaten me, it was almost close to my home, and from my father! He was intoxicated every day since my mother's passing, and even worse with Kyojuro’s death as well.
All (Y/N) has ever done was bandage my cuts from the demon’s claws, fed me with warm food, and protected me from anyone that is a threat. Never had she devoured any people because how she eats actual human food just like us! Don't punish her for being what she is!” Senjuro explains then remembers how caring that (Y/N) was, showing no signs of aggression except towards his drunk father. Pick him up from walking around while recovering from the injuries and mostly she allowed him to properly grieve in private.
Seeing what kind of demon she is, a totally different kind despite having claws and fangs like those dangerous predators.
He wouldn't defend anyone that he was told from his brother and father how demons were nothing but flesh-eating monsters with no mortals nor feelings for any kind, but (Y/N) was different than the rest of her kind.
“Nonsense, she had brainwashed you, Rengoku. I’ve refused to accept those words but beheaded her before she casts on everyone else.” Tengan said finally but enraged. No matter if one demon is friendly enough, he doesn't want to witness anymore foolish beliefs.
“Uzui-” Misturi replied but was cut off.
“No!” Tengan immediately grabbed both of his twin swords as the bandages around it were unleashed, that had everyone else gone into a gasp that he was going to do.
Gyomei stopped him by gripping his wrist to prevent Uzui from doing anything unreasonable especially if their master hasn't arrived yet, “don't…let the master decide its fate, Uzui. It pains me to witness another fallen child be put under another punishment.” He said while tears flowing down his face.
Tengan was struggling to free himself but how strong Gyomei is, he desperately wants to behead the demon now.
“How about we test its true colors!” Sanemi unseal his katana and cut his arm as blood splatter, the rest drip into the box.
“No! Don't do it!! Please!!” Senjuro screamed as he tried to unbind the ropes, Giyuu grabbed his shoulders from going forward as both were forced to watch.
Inside of the box, small (Y/N) smelt something that had her cover her nose with her hand, from inhaling the blood scent. Whimpering on how she finds it sickening that she kicked the door.
That made everyone freak out, but she crawled out of there still covering her face.
'The rumors were true!!!’ Everyone thought of it except for Muichiro, Senjuro, Shinobu and Giyuu for seeing it before they escorted her and young Rengoku to headquarters.
The black haired with turquoise tips looked at her, “Is that babe ill?” He blurted, making him the center of attention.
“What did you say??” All said at once hearing those words coming from Tokito.
Senjuro felt his chest boiling in rage, Shinobu smiled but was happy,
“Tokito, it's not appropriate to call her a babe, especially if she's thousands of years older than you.” she commented.
That didn't bother him but found the eagle demon adorable.
Mitsuri squeals softly through her hands, from finding out that one of her friends finds the demon adorable and even given her nickname.
It was simply too much to not find it cute.
