Chapter 10

Amanda finally arrived with all the paperwork that was needed for the couple to purchase the new house. Ariella signed everywhere she was supposed to sign and then Jax signed. They set up automatic payments for the mortgage and since Ariella knew her bank information, was able to give the bank info to Amanda to draft out the down payment from her savings account. With everything signed and the down payment made, Amanda handed over the key to the log cabin and wished the couple the best. They had all the paperwork including the address. Ariella smiled and told Jax to go deal with the house and that she'd be fine while he was away. She would most likely just sleep the day away as that's what happened when she was sick or injured. He made sure she would be fine while he was away and she promised she would be. They needed to get the house ready as soon as possible for all the children. He kissed her forehead then followed his mother out of the hospital room. He headed home first to start packing up what he could. A few minutes later, his brothers showed up with a moving van to help pack up the house and help move the family into the new house. Jax knew they'd have to buy more furniture to furnish the rest of the house but that would be something he'd let Ariella deal with when she was feeling better.

A few minutes after Jax and Gemma left, Ariella went to sleep. The pain medicine was working although she still had some pain from three separate knife wounds and a c-section. The medicine took the edge off and she was able to get comfortable enough to sleep. Autumn was doing well despite her circumstances and was slowly getting stronger. When dinnertime came around, Ariella had woken up but was in a lot of pain. The nurse came in with another shot of her pain killer to Ariella's relief. Jax arrived soon after with a brown bag. She smiled at her husband as he set the bag on her tray then began digging in it and pulling things out. He handed her a bacon cheeseburger and some curly fries knowing the hospital food wasn't that great. She thanked him for bringing her dinner as he took his food and sat in the chair by her bed. He asked how she was feeling so she told him the pain medicine wasn't yet working but it should soon and that she was in a lot of pain. He hated hearing it but it wasn't a surprise with all her injuries. She asked how the move was coming making him sigh and tell her it was going as well as expected. They got the living room and kitchen moved to the new house and that the following day would be spent in packing up the bedrooms and bathrooms to move. He'd called in for pizza for his brothers as a thank you for helping but he'd wanted to come and check on her and thought she'd eat food from the diner better than the gross hospital food.

She chuckled and said it sounded like they had a tough afternoon. The pair talked about the new house and that they'd need more furniture to decorate all the new rooms, including the two boys' rooms. Ariella said she had plenty of money saved up and that wouldn't be a problem. She told him to take her bank card and get whatever the boys would need for their rooms. The blond biker thanked her for her generosity earning a smile in return. The state still had the Teller boys until they could do a home inspection to make sure the boys would have their own rooms and all they'd need to flourish. After dinner, Jax kissed his 'ol lady and headed to his house to get some sleep as he was very tired from all the packing and moving they'd done that day. Everyone was coming back over after breakfast the following day to help finish moving the Tellers into their new home. Jax was never more grateful for having a brotherhood than he was then. He slept like a rock as he was so tired and was surprised when he heard voices in the living room. He quickly got dressed and headed out to greet his guests. Chibs, Tig, Quinn, Opie, Juice, Ratboy, Happy, and Bobby were all there and ready to go. He apologized for being late earning a chuckle from several of his brothers.
