Remade as a SOUL in Deltarune

Chapter 9 No training needed

Kris ran into the training room with Ralsei and Susie running behind them. They finally decided to come to a stop to let them catch up to them.

"HEY! *Huff* Could you slow down even a little! How much damn stamina do you have." Susie shouted at Kris angrily. They were forced to run all the way here after Kris just suddenly dashed off.

Ralsei was even more tired than Susie as he felt like falling to the ground. "I... I think Susie is right. Could you please not run anymore?"

Kris let a hmm as if they were thinking before going blank. What was really going on was more of an argument. 'They are right. After all we can't have a tired after all. Nah, I feel like picking the violent option. Let's keep running and see how much we can #### with them. W-what!? Why would we do that! Cause it's funny? I don't remember being evil! It's not evil, it's funny! Huge difference!'

While the two half's were arguing, their body automatically responded with "Yes."

They both paused as one half stopped thinking while the other was swearing and blaming the other for distracting them. Kris simply shrugged. "Anyways... let's go."

After Susie and Ralsei gave them the look of blankness after they said that due to still being out of breath. Susie more than Ralsei as he was surprised as he quickly regained his breath before speaking while pointing at the dummy version of him in the corner "Oh! Kris, Susie, look! It's the training dummy I made!"

Susie looked at it confused. "Why does it look like you? Why would you make a training dummy of yourself?"

Ralsei looked at Susie before huddling under his hat in embarrassment. "Well... I didn't really have any darkeners to base the dummy on other than myself."

This made Susie let out a snort of laughter before saying "Isn't a prince supposed to have subjects?"

Kris just looked at her while not giving damn about what they were going to say next. "Susie. Why are you look barney the dinosaur." This made one half panic while the other half laugh their ass off due to making Kris say this..

Susie didn't understand this since Barney didn't exist in Deltarune. "Who?"

Kris decided to keep going with this while one half tried to stop them. "Oh, you know. *Begins singing* Barney is a dinosaur from our imagination-." *Kris froze up as they twitched as the other half took over before they could continue*

They went to a blank position as Susie and Ralsei looked at each other with Ralsei worried while Susie was still confused about what Kris was talking about and was trying to figure out if he was making fun of her since the name Barney just ignited annoyance for some reason.

"Kris? Are you okay?" Ralsei asked gently as he stepped over to Kris with concern in his voice. "Is something going on?"

"No." They said although Ralsei knew this wasn't the Kris he wanted to speak to. He thinks? He still doesn't know how exactly this works.

Inside of Kris's mind both halves were still at odds. The innocent was arguing with the original personality. The original was surprised that the innocent was able to take control from. They just didn't seem like the type of person to be able to that.

'Please stop! We're freaking them out!' They tried to tell

'Oh, come on! It was just getting good! We could have sang the entire song.' The original personality protested.

'AND HAVE OUR FACE BITTEN OFF!?'

They felt an eyeroll in the mind which made them feel angry for the first time. 'Like she could actually do that. We both know we could beat her.'

'I would like you to try if that's the case.'

'Maybe I will.'

'Are you really serious?'

'Yes.'

'Your going to die.'

'Aren't you supposed to be positive. Be positive.'

'Alright, I am positive you're going to die.'

'You stole that line. Didn't you?' They felt a face grinning at them despite it all being in the mind but it still annoyed them. The other quickly retorted. 'SO DID YO-!'

While that argument was going on Ralsei decided to move the conversation towards training.

"Anyways. Now sems like a great chance to prepare for the enemy. Would you two like me to teach you how to fight."

Both of the halves stopped arguing since they didn't want the body to respond automatically as they were about to talk until Susie interrupted by stepping forward while pushing Kris aside.

"No need. I got the power of my axe on my side, and I already know how this goes." She said as she entered an encounter by herself against the dummy by swinging her axe as she took her turn to swing the axe and chopped the dummy in half with both halves falling to the ground.

"...." Ralsei eyes widened at this. He didn't want this to happen to any of the Darkners they encounter. "Umm... you know you could. You know spa-"

Kris interrupted Ralsei not allowing him to speak. "We already know how to fight and how to spare. Besides hands on experience is better than training."

"O-oh. Right. You two already fought before against Lancer..." Ralsei looked down in disappointment. "I was excited to teach... I guess you didn't need me to do that after all...  B-but, just in case you ever forget anything." He looks back up wiping away his disappointment as he took something out from his robe and handed it to Kris. It was a manual

"Here! I made a manual for you and Susie just in case you forget something about battles."

(You got a manual)

Innocent wanted to thank Ralsei for it but unfortunately this thought process was interrupted and turned into annoyance by the original's stray thought.

'Let's feed the Manual to Susie.'

They wished they had separate bodies so that they could dropkick them.

I decided to just make them two personalities of the same SOUL cause why the hell not. I also decided to mess with the original personality a bit because I want CHAOS CHAOS! (Jevil took over writing for a bit).

Not too sure when the next update for this fic since I have much less free time now and I would rather want to write something I want rather than something I feel forced to write not that I don't enjoy giving you all content, but I just don't get the same drive anymore.

It's not like I will EVER leaving Undertale (My new favorite character is Papyrus) since it's been my favorite game ever since its release and nothing has come close. It's just that my interests have unfortunately changed to write something else.
